Tab, you guys are masters at making things work. Even like $250 events or something. Even secondary events. I'm sure a draw tourney would get at least 75-100 people at $250 during a big series.

Heard a rumor that as of April 1st, the 2/5NL cash games will be 1k max buyin and straddling will be allowed. Can you confirm/deny this please? Also, if it is true, what will be the max buyin on the 5/10NL games?

whats weird is the 1k on 4/14 says re-entry but in the "general rules" on the structure sheet, it mentions nothing about re-entries. The 1k 6max is just the opposite (should be freezeout but details say re-entries). To be honest, I was disappointed that you made both these buyins re-entries. Of the 19 NL events you are offering, SEVENTEEN of them are re-entries and the other 2 are bounty events. Is this really necessary? Seems to be a bit of overkill. I honestly think the smaller buyins w re-entries are fine but the 1ks should be freezeouts. Having a re-entry option on the 1ks will turn off alot of people, IMO.

It took 2 years to get PLO8 added and that is WAYYYYYYY more popular than draw games. I, too, would love to play some draw stuff but it just isn't going to attract many people.

Yeah, I may not be aware of all the issues that the TD would be aware of but I don't see the risk of spreading a $300 draw tourney. One day. No Guarantee. Side event.

Wonder what his def of little interest is...I think it would get 40-50 runners.

Borgata has gone through some effort and expense in spreading these in cash games. It is something the PA casinos do not offer. It could bring new people to the casino.

I'm not really trying to complain though...just saying and wondering

i think the price point would need to be a little higher at first. most of the cash games they spread are high stakes and a 300 would be pretty blah. a 500 at least or a 1k

We've gotten some full tables playing 10/20, 15/30 and 20/40 mixed at random times the past few weekends.

I think you'd have enough interest for a $300 event, given the quality of players in the PLO8 tourney, they'd play anything at the lower buy ins.
