I live an hour and a half from Borgata have summers off and would love for them to move the summer open so it doesn't conflict with wsop. I run into a lot of people from the philly ac area during wsop who would play summer open, but are in vegas.

Tab, you're starting this main event more than a week earlier than in past years, and like me, you'll note a few others above who can't make this earlier time. Any chance at all that this can be reconsidered?

Re: Borgata Spring Poker Open 2012 : Apr 4 - Apr 20

Checking schedules... Borgata *could* move this series to 4/11-4/27 and in the process stay within the open timeframe with all the other series' in the area (Caesars AC WSOPc, Delaware Park Classic, Harrahs Chester WSOPc) and dodge Easter weekend in the process.

Or maybe they decided it was better to get all the events in before tax season ended. /shrug

lol at everyone actually thinking they are going to move the dates for this year...wishful thinking but its not happening.

i just think a few of us would like it so we didnt have to choose borgata main or wpt hollywood..but obv thats hard to do sometimes. And yes im aware wpt doesnt start until day 3 of borgata and its a good problem to have, but some of us dont like traveling and playing on the same day.

I'm curious to know why the dates cannot be moved for the main, esp if theres a lot of demand for it. Question really is if TAB thinks it will have a sizable impact on the attendance.

Just one thing, the main event ends on a Thu, NOT Friday, which should mean something to you when making your decision. Let me walk u thru this, Day 1a/b will play ten one (1) hour levels and finish with about 35% of the field. Day 2 on tuesday will play 10 levels @ 1 hr 15 min and will end with 27 or less players.

Dammm! Does everyone here realize that Tab has to cope with availability of the signature room, and or the events center, the extra tables, then a schedule, then to see if he can get dealers to cover the games. Then the paperwork that goes with it.

Tab, will put up a schedule as soon as he can, he always does.

Thanks Tab.

BTW, are you considering my suggestion of having Sats. to the bigger events, not just the main, before the Open starts?
Tab this suggestion is a good one (im guessing similar to what they will be doing in fla at the kennel club 500 buy in with 1mill guarantee), but it probably can only be done in sept or jan when you have the event center. Im confident you will get this one to 2 mill. (2 day 1's with rebuys). Make it happen tab, feedback??

A $1 Mil. guarantee would be 2000 people, the first spring open started with a 500 + 60, with 1214 players, that was a 250k guarantee. I played and cashed in that one. And that was a packed house, maybe if they had 3 day 1s'

The Winter Open just drew 1873 runners with ONE day 1. Two starting days could be well over $1M if they had the event center, signature room, and the guarantee.

Yeah make the opener multiple starting days or a $750-$1k fo, with a big gtd. it will still have a good turnout and you won't have the table space/dealers issues
