According to this the main is going to be 4/15 - 4/20 and is a $2500 + $200. Doesn't say if it is going to be re-entry or not yet.

Tab, you're starting the final event on 4/15, when tax season doesn't end until evening of 4/17 this year. There's a number of degenerate CPA's out there who'll miss out (including Steve recent final tableist, no?).

Please reconsider pushing the entire schedule a week. I've been down the last few years right after 4/15 and was hoping to do so again. I'm sure there are plenty of other fish that this tourney will be lost to if the schedule remains as is.

If he is going to change the dates of the main..then it should move forward a week so it doesnt interfer with WPT Seminole in Florida, which it currently does. Prob missing the main for florida..sigh

Although I agree with the Tax and WPT issues, it is impossible to pick dates that don't interfere with something, somewhereh, whether it's a poker tourney or a religious holiday, etc. Tab and Stan have done a great job picking dates that work for a majority of their players, evidenced by the record number of entries in the last few series.

i hear ya. just stinks i cant play at all this series. oh well

And if any other year is an indication, I might miss the ME just because of my procrastination in filing, or perhaps will discipline me into trying to file a few as earlier

By the way...as a side note... During the winter open, I ended up staying at Borgata for a couples of nights as opposed to Water Club.... The newly renovated rooms are just awesome... Free WiFi too... Hope they renovate the entire place soon... Bogota has always been the nicest place to stay on the East coast, and I am glad to see they keep improving...

Yeah rooms were nice, similar to other casinos in Ac but much nicer quality. poker rate was really good as well

WPT Florida is 1) a 10k and b) in Florida, can't worry about an event happening 1200 miles away. The Summer Open happens during WSOP afterall...

This timeframe sucks for me personally since I'm running away on vacation during the first week of this after participating in another tourney series, and I wanted to come back headstrong to Borgata for this, but it is what it is.

is the first event going to be a 2-day event? with a day 1A & 1B? Is it going to be a $500 +60 or less?

BTW, are you considering my suggestion of having Sats. to the bigger events, not just the main, before the Open starts?

this is prob wishful thinking, but I think the Spring Open should be held in May and the Summer Open should be held in mid-late July...there is nothing else going on the East Coast calendar and you wouldn't interfere w WSOP either...neither of these series utilize the conference center upstairs, so booking costs or calendar issues wouldn't be an issue...any thoughts Tab/Stan?
