I was thinking of going to FL to play a few of these events, especially event 1 -- $50K guarantee re-entry.. Anyone know if any of the tournies other than the 2 guarantees and the main event are going to be worth anything? I've never played in Jacksonville and don't know much about the area.

Depends on what you consider worth it. Maybe not five figure prizes for first, but I'd imagine the they will have nice, smaller, soft fields.

Could someone post the blind structures for event 1? And confirm that it is $230 15k chips and 40 min blinds. They seemed confused when I called them the other day.

Yeah I'm gonna go down to play the first 3 or 4 events, it looks pretty good, especially event 1. Hoping for a good turn out.

Wow, are the structures in all the WPT preliminary events that good? 40 minute blinds for a $230 tourney, that's amazing. I usually only make it out to the Southern Indiana Casinos but I might have to plan a WPT trip sometime in the future.

Yea event #1 has a patience factor of 30 which is awesome for a $230.

I am a regular there and the guarnteed prelims and the 500s have the great structure with 40 min. levels and 15k chips, the other prelims have decent structures but are one day events so can be fast. Everyone around here is talking about the 150 allin or fold event and how it will go, so should be a good series.

Are these events likely to sell out before starting? Would be coming from Gainesville for Events 1 and 6 if I play and dont want to get shut out

That place is huge. No way it sells out. It's like ****ing WalMart.

They introduced a Player of the Series award for events 1-15, the top spot gets a seat to the $1500 main+$500 cash and second get the $1500, places 3-20 get seats to satties and other things, I asked the poker room manager and he said they are adding this and not taking anything out of the prize pools or either the bad beat jackpot. So just figured I would pass this information on that they have add some value to this series.

This is a pretty cool prize for last one under 21 standing but its possible that person doesn't even cash or makes a small cash. I can't imagine how much that would cost to ship back home, assuming they flew in. lol
