yeah that was kind of the point, have the ept elsewhere and you're not forced to use it since there are no other options

+1 that Deauville is a ****hole. Suppose it's somewhat nice from may-september but now you're just freezing your balls off and there's absolutely nothing to do. French players and people in general are confirmed idiots once again. Everytime i hear one of these random douchebags with half a brain yell "allez papa" after sucking out I want to tear some rabbit's head off or something.

If you guys think Deauville is in the middle of nowhere then wait for Campione!

EPT Paris would be epic but perhaps both Barriere and Partouche won't hold an EPT in their Casinos?

Campione is a hell of a lot closer to a major airport than Deauville, though.

I've been to Campione twice and while as a location it's 5x worse than San Remo it's a cab ride away from an airport and a 15 minute ferry ride away from an actual city with activities (Lugano).

Am surprised they have never had an ept at nottingham dusk til dawn. Okay the location isn't the best but a big cardroom.

Agreed that DTD Nottingham would be good. It's geographical position in the centre of England makes it's UK catchment area alone massive.

And it is a huge, well run, purpose built poker venue. I would go as far as saying that the UK could support two EPTs each year, London and Nottingham.

The EPT would not be doing anything unwise if they did a scouting trip on it to see what they think for themselves.

they prob already have the relavent information. they run ukipts there obv.

i think something against it is that it's not necessarily an 'exotic' destination. however TWO EPTS IN ENGLAND WOULD BE EPIC. if we are having 2 EPTS/season in italy, there really should be 2 in the british isle first (dublin yo)

the grand final being back in monte carlo is hugely disappointing to me. Sure it's 'balla' but cmon the expenses on these trips are plain absurdity. pretty sure im boycotting already

I agree that DTD provides good poker infrastructure but I disagree on your first point. The transport infrastructure in mid/south England is London-centric and I think there is going to be no benefit to holding a tournament in Nottingham, not to mention the fact that international travellers are unlikely to be turned on by the idea of having an EPT in Notts.

Is there a chance we can have an UKIPT thread run by Neil's equivalent in the UKIPT? There's not really a need to derail the EPT thread with national tour questions as seems to happen here sometimes.

Anyhow, I think EPT Edinburgh would be a much better addition to the EPT schedule than EPT Nottingham!!

Re: Ask NeilJ about EPT tournament details thread

I am planning to play Monte Carlo but may have to stay down the coast a little because a hotel room is probably like the cost of the ME entry to stay in for one night and a cheese burger costs around a zillion Euros.

I wouldn't be surprised if an EPT Edinburgh is already in the works to kick off the new ept season during the festival in august. heard a rumor Tallinn won't be the opener next season or might be off the schedule entirely.
