I'll take a 5-10% rake crapshoot over 30+% rake with a million dollars in starting chips and 24-hour levels.

i'll take any of them with properly advertised fees that aren't hidden in the structure sheet and handled like a bunch of mobsters going around bullying you out of more money.

Please show me any casino with a 5-10% tournament rake.

I too don't like the dealer add-on the way it is handled; but as far as structures, the WSOPC prelim events has the best structure for a travelin' player period. My understanding is Jimmy is responsible and I appreciate it.

They exist but this thread has been derailed enough.

Good luck Jimmy.

Re: After 18 years it's time to say Goodbye!

It looks like the link you posted to your sheet is down, and as a relatively neutral but curious person (I've played WSOP events but never any circuit events or any events people mentioned they were concerned about) I thought I'd double check your numbers and see how closely entrance fees, dealer tokes, etc line up with what is paid out.

And I don't know you at all, but it looks like you are well-liked, so best of luck post poker retirement.

Okay since everyone thinks they know better, I know of a very competitive $2K event with a 5% buy in. The final table had avg chip stacks of over 60 BB's after 3 days of play.

No add on, no hold out, a flat 5% fee, period.

Wrong thread for this DG, but yes, the River took tremendous strides forward this past year. There are still some deficiencies during day 1 play, but hopefully you guys will continue to make progress as you recently have been.
