this is what italy thinks of that website:

why can't i read pokerstarsblog.com in english? is it even possible from italy? clicking on english language only links back to italian with italian related infos.

and that was the worst poker party experience ever. an hour of walking through icy windy mazy streets listening to p3rc4 chortle that he was absolutely 100 % positive that we were going the right direction only to eventually give up...

nice cash games tho. anyone know what is the rake? and why they don't have plo?

Pretty sure you can get around being redirected to .it version by following a link that is not to the main page, I think it is only the main page that redirects, I remember doing this before. Try http://www.pokerstarsblog.com/live-events/ or http://www.pokerstarsblog.com/tourna...8/deauville-3/

Re: €4,950 WPT Venice Grand Prix: Feb. 4-10

In addition to the 10% juice which goes to Tilt poker who run the tournament they are also taking out 3% from the prize pool which goes to the casino for the privilege of using their venue. Thus the €1500 Side event which was advertised as €1500 + €150 was in fact €1455 + €195. This was not mentioned anywhere in any of the marketing literature which I think is pretty disgusting. It's not even as if it is some state deduction like the 4% tax in France.

Also, you are of course expected to tip the dealers.

Quote:
On the river we saw the 4 of heart and Bjerkmann bet strongly for a third consecutive time and Dato went still. He thought for a good two minutes before calling and Bjerkmann was forced to show a complete airbag. Dato then turned his cards over and he had sevens full of eights.

"That is the sickest slow roll I have ever had in my life. Do not talk to me dude. If you see me in the street do not talk to me," said an irate Bjerkmann.

After that hand the table descended into chaos with Bjerkmann verbally attacking Dato at every possible opportunity. In the end the floor stepped in and warned Bjerkmann that if he didn't respect his fellow players he would suffer the consequences. The admonishment did the trick, and Bjerkmann's lips remained tightly shut, but it was the beginning of the end for the Norwegian.
