venice has tons of hotels within a short walk.

to find close hotels in general, look up the casino on google maps then zoom into that area on the map view on any travel engine. expedia or tripadvisor have worked for me.

Day 2 table draw

155 entries, 89 return Tuesday. Numbers a bit disappointing?

Edit: Fixed the link, fml.

Wrong link. Yeah I guess having 2 of these butchered the field

Yeah turnout was really weak. Which is a shame because it's a really cool location. This one was televised and in Venice itself, other one was not and out near airport, but it's the other one that drew better.

Re: €4,950 WPT Venice Grand Prix: Feb. 4-10

not suprised. people already hate life from deauville, they arent about to go somewhere italian.
didnt it also clash with the EPT 5k turbo side?

try having a proper side schedule?

should have a WPT in LONDON ENGLAND. why in the world does this not happen any more? u have a large player base already to get numbers up...

also maybe the weather had an effect, made travelling tougher this week.

Was a huge scandal involving prize $ in the only WPT London, and turnout was lame. Having one right before EPT London would work.

They turned a really good event into 2 **** ones. Why did they have a December 2.5 and a Feb 5 instead of just a huge Feb 3? Hopefully they resolve it, this is my first time here and the place is amazing - the snow looked incred this morning.

Re: €4,950 WPT Venice Grand Prix: Feb. 4-10

They didn't announce the exact schedule, ie if there was a Day 1a and 1b and what time play started and sides until very recently. There were a lot of tournaments the previous weekend in different parts of Europe, I can think of at least four. I was playing a tournament this weekend and wanted to grind Sundays, in the end I couldn't wait any longer for the arrangements to be announced so I thought forget it and made other plans. If you announce things nice and early and firm up a few decent side events then people will make plans and yeah, two tournies in the same place in a few months doesn't make sense either. Plus got to get the Italians involved!

There is a large poker club called Dusk til Dawn in Nottingham that would be perfect for a WPT!

Gl everyone still in.
