Why are they not any gaurentees to any of the events?

I wondered that also. Seems odd. Maybe they will add them later? Pretty disappointing if not.

oh yay...another no-limit fest that I won't be traveling for.

Hopefully Hammond keeps their HORSE event...even better if it stays at the $580 it was last year.

Better be careful about complaining about the lack of mixed games on the schedules as Mr. Know-It-All Blowhard will chime in with his standard "mixed game players whine too much," drivel.

For the record, I completely agree with you. At least Thunder Valley has a HORSE next month. I also think I convinced them to have an O8 for their schedule in January. We'll see...

I wish they included a HORSE and or PLO8 as well.

I will be there for even #1 $365 turbo , leave next day for the $1650 HPT main event in St. Charles (St. Louis), then back on Monday or Tuesday for the remainder of the events.

Has anyone been able to find a promo code for hotel rates during the event?

Ya, love to see more HORSE and PLO8 on circuit schedule or anytime.

Event turnouts at this venue historically end up being a disappointment. Slapping on some modest guarantees seems like it would solve that issue, but perhaps they've been burned on that in the past somehow that I'm unaware of.

Entire casino is poorly laid out. Poker room is relatively small. Past few times I've been there for WSOPc they've had one window of one cage designated for tournament registration and unless you get registered >2hr before the event you're going to be standing in line for 30-45min.

Plus side though, events are heavily saturated with older local legion regs so fields tend to be really soft.

I've usually treated this stop as my hammond wsopc warmup series. Easy 2 hour drive from my place. I'll be there.

Minor brag post.

I wanted to attend this series but couldn't make it work w my schedule. I have to attend a regional conference Monday and Tuesday, the first two days of October. That travel, plus work and family commitments, would make traveling anywhere else those twoweeks very burdensome. So I wrote this series off.

Then today, I got an email that the conference was moved to Louisville from Indy due to some personnel problems in Indy. The hotel? Horseshoe Southern Indiana See you there for at least one event!

Different strokes for different folks. 803 players at HSI in first weekend event last year, 49k up top for a $365-380 (whatever), that can't be too disappointing of a turnout. Have played quite a few WSOPs there and like to get there an hour early and when doing so have never had a wait of more than a couple of minutes to register. Arriving in last 15 minutes before start it can be a different story if the cage only has 1 or 2 working.

On the other hand, in Hammond, have experienced much longer lines and several times waiting in line for 30 minutes plus when arriving 30 minutes before the start.

In the past usually they haven't had one. Imo better to stay down the road (5-10) in New Albany Indiana much cheaper and as good of quality.
