Sounds like 888 Poker may be one per this press release:

Kevmath may have better insider info.

I read that event 2 (Oktoberfest) will pay top 10% from each day 1 based on field size for that day. I briefly saw it today, but cant recall where I saw it.

If a player fires a bullet and 2a, makes day 2 with 35bb and then decides to play 2b to try to build a better day 2 stack and wiffs, the 2a stack carries over? What if 2b stack is less than 2a stack, is it players choice or does the last entrance (or best stack) go forward?

Not entirely sure, but it is my understanding that you cannot play another flight if you make it to the end of a particular flight (and therefore day2.

Rate seems about right. The exchange rate has hovered around $1.12 : 1€ since May with minor fluctuations day to day.

In rough order of value for money 1 being good and 5 being the nut low.

1) Using a transfer service to send it to the casino cage (if the allow 3rd party wires)
2) Getting cash in your own bank before you leave
3) Debit Card withdrawal from an ATM or bank in Berlin
4) At a casino
5) At an airport

Sounds about right. This is a notorious problem in Europe bcos all the banks charge smth like 5pc vig for cash exchange and as mentioned other places are worse.

It looks like you can pre-register on the casino's website. Does anyone know if the casino charges a vig on the exchange rate when you pre-register?

One choice for #3 to consider: Open up a Charles Schwab High Yield Investor Checking Account (with corresponding brokerage account). ATM withdrawal fees are rebated at the end of the month (even international ones). They use the Visa Exchange Rate:
US: https://usa.visa.com/support/consume...alculator.html
Europe: http://www.visaeurope.com/making-pay...exchange-rates

[Note: I apologize if this is construed as a shrill.]

If anyone is interested in a 2p2 meet up friday, 9 Oct, between 6 to ???

This will be between 2a and 2b events so could capture all.

The Sony center is nearby (across the street if memory serves correctly) with a couple of bars/cafes.

If there is interest I will try to arrange.

Not talking about WSOPE here, but just in general......

If you are paying by card/wire for something in a currency other than the one your account is in, then the exchange rate is the one charged by YOUR financial institution.

Credit Card payment is nearly always the best value when doing this, as long as it is treated as a purchase, not a cash advance.

Any vig on tournament registrations added by the casino if paying by card is generally to cover payment processing which can run as high as 3% of the total value, i.e. for a €10k buy ins the CC transaction cost could be up to €300.

For WSOPE, I believe the online reg is closed apart from the M/E as the WSOP stated that they needed 14 days to process international wire transfers.

Clearly they use 1950's banking as I wire money from GBP to EUR to USD in different countries on a very regular basis and it takes 24 to 48 hours max to get there, but anyway.........

Anyone win too much in Berlin and want to trade their Euros for Dollars? I can either bring USD to Berlin or I can send you money on Chase, Venmo, Paypal.

I missed the boat on pre-registration and I am trying to figure out a back-up plan.

Yes, there are many bars/cafes nearby. In principle yes, but I want to play 2b so it would be just a quick hi and bye, dont really see the point.

Yes to all but the rake is high, look at the website of spielbank berlin. 5/5 PLO was always going on weekends when I went there, during the event there are presumably higher game.

I will probably play 2A, so would be in if it was after 2A ended. Which after a quick glance, might be 7-8pm.

Sorry for the stupid Q, but is the official table language of WSOPE events ENGLISH?
I speak no German and just want to make sure that I'm not about to get angleshot by some local language stuff. Any other weird Germany stuff/rules I need to be aware of? Hypersensitive after the Spain/Anksy thing.

(Also, does the Spielbank casino run cash games around the clock?)

I received a message from the casino and i'm a little bit worried

"we can't estimate if there will or won't be free seats at "The Oktoberfest". The online ticket sale is just closed, but local tickets are still available. We can only recommend a early appearance to get the tickets."

I coming in Berlin on friday and i want to play on Saturday. Now i'am waiting their answer, i asked if my friend can buy a seat for me tomorrow at the casino.

They are handling this situation like if the tournament is caped or what? What the heck is going on?

This is a 500E event supposed to bring tons of players.

Is there someone frop WSOP team on 2+2?

I know at WSOPE in France 2012 we were able to speak english and french. Probably the same in Berlin but not 100% sure.

Ok so here is a list of issues already building (in what was suppose to be a great series in a phenominal city):

- lack of advance communication/advertisement about pre-registration

- difficulty getting funds to event (guess wire transfers were a non-option)

- now word is the staff cannot say if there will be seats available in an event after players travel hundreds and thousands of miles

- WSOP Spokesperson missing to provide guidance or direction

God save us from the chaos at the cages!!!
