If this forum is any indication this series will not be very big, probably similar to last years numbers. Hopefully I am wrong and its huge.

The cppt choctaw looks like it's gonna be massive. I wish winstar cared more about marketing and competition because this series seems like it will not even be close to ta the choctaw series was.

FYI, Winstar doesn't have enough space/tables to accommodate a mini-river anywhere close to the size of the CPPT so your point is moot.

they have the space and tables in the Event Global Center. They refuse to bring outside dealers to make the event bigger.

I am referring to the big River tourney. It can be so much bigger but they can't handle it with just their normal staff dealers. There is a reason some of the events get capped.

Isn't one of the problems the fact that they won't reduce amount if cash tables? They have 40+tables but only use 20 for tournament series correct. That would be standard for a daily tournament but they choose to have these series and should go out of there way to ensure success.

I highly doubt it. I also wouldn't expect many (if any) satellites to run for this Mini River. Perhaps someone else has experience with satellites for these Mini Rivers in the past though.

There are cash games available 24/7 I'm pretty sure they can sacrifice a few tables the 5 weeks a year or whatever for these series.

They do sacrifice a few tables. In fact when they started up the weekly Saturday tournaments they were sacrificing quite a few cash game tables on a weekly basis and waitlists were growing to 100+ for 1/2 and 1/3. They have hired more dealers since then so it's not as big of an issue as it once was but having not paid attention it wouldn't surprise me if the room fills up when the weekly Saturday tournament is running.

Anyone that played event #1 last year the $500 (same exact tourny this year and last) possibly guess how many will bag on day 1? Play down to a final table?

it has starting stack and length of blind levels but there is no posted blind level structure posted online as far as i know.
