In order to be first prize hit million $$ they have to get over 4630 players
This is per past history :
Players. 1st prize % of the prize pool

3000-4000. 17%
4000-5000. 16%
5000-6000. 15%
6000-7000. 14%

*10% of the $1500 (Buy-ins)goes towards entry fee and staff.

I don't know if we will hit over 4600 players but it will be very close IMO.
I will be pre register if I am playing the event.

There will be total of 480 tables in 2014 WSOP.

As per WSOPTD: “we are planning to use most of our tables for the MS."

I think out of 480 there will be maximum 400 tables will be available due to cash games and carry over from previous days event (#46,#48,#49 and #50 ).

You are able to enter through 6 levels, right? That will be until after dinner or around 8:30pm. With it so deep there will still be play if you enter quite late, 50 BB's at Level 7 with starting stack. Even though you start with a monster stack there will be plenty of bust outs by then. So there will be open seats. Give me the over.

After watching the big and bigger crowd in all the events and Daily deep stack are breaking all time records in first week of WSOP , I thought let me pre register for this while I am here. When I asked the cashier how many pre-registered for the event so far. She said 268 !! And told me she has worked WSOP for last 4 years and never seen this many pre registration for the event other then main event! And Monster is 24 days away!

More anecdotal "big number" buzz: Thinking Poker podcast guest was uber pumped and looking forward to the Monster Stack. TheSaurus the rap battlin' poker player canx'ed a Rap Battle event in LA because it conflicted with event 51.

I'm actually starting to consider this event may post a really sick big number. Like near 5k sick big, but i know that is still quite a stretch. Either way, I'm certainly in and looking forward to playing.
