Yes the April series is always all No Limit holdem. It is 10 days long. Our July will offer some mixed games. It is $50k Added, So jump in...I know you like the mixed games etc, But casinos look at numbers and you and me are the minority as I still like 7 card stud high low! I promise the July will have more variety. Hope to see you in April, Jimmy

Add a 5 card or 7 card stud and I'll beat you getting to Choctaw.

Tex or Jimmy,

It's Adam. I just saw the structures on the web site. Really? only 10k chips for the ring events and 8k for the 12:00pm events? That seams semi-turbo to me. Can we not get 25k for the main at least?

Please consider making the 12:00pm events 10k starting and the rings 20-25k starting.

I am debating going out to Cherokee instead with the structures the way they are.

Totally agree. Saw this yesterday. The main and 560 rings should start deeper than 10k

What will this pay out for final table? Do they usually get over the guarantee in this series? I kinda like the low starting chips and that it is a 1 day event. maybe I am the only one.

How often does this series run at Choctaw? 2 or 3 times a year or what?

This runs once a year but they run 4 series yearly including a WSOPC circuit even in January and a Card Player event.

Hard to say what the payouts will be but most of their tourneys exceed the guarantees.

Just got my lastest copy of bluff mag . . . it has an add for the Foxwoods Poker Classic One Mill guarantee that started yesterday.

Their starting chip stacks and blind levels sure are nice.

It is a great structure for the time frame. I could give a million chips start blinds out higher, double up blinds, etc etc. Instead I have levels even the wsop circuit have taken out to make it smooth. Its all about timeframe. How long you want the tournament to last and then come up with starting stacks, levels and amount of time at each level.

A little secret- if you give too many chips in a tournament and do not ADD levels or playing time....what happens is no one gets knocked out early enough, Then what happens is later in the tournament no one has 15 big blinds... When you add starting chips to the tournament you must Add levels to give the players a chance to bust themselves out. Therefore if I gave you More chips , I would also have to add many levels....This would make the tournament go too long for this series. I am all about giving players what they want. Many players in the Dallas area come play this tournament. They cannot have 2 and 3 day tournaments because the work. If I made the events during the week 2 day tournaments then our player count would go down because many of the players cannot play for 2 days due to work. Believe me the ring and the championship event have great structures. Please be careful when you ask for more chips, It is bad for late rounds in a tournament. One of he best structures I can remember was when Jack Mccleland had $500 in chips for a $500 buy in tnmt. Blinds started at 5-10 5-15 10-20 etc. Lasted 2 long days. So its not necesarily the amount of chips....Look at all aspects of a structure. Hope this explains my stance on this. Remember the non ring events are 1 day events that need to be over by 2-3AM and this is when they normally end.

Thanks for listening,
JImmy

My ring event 2 day tournaments compared to their 2 day tnmt
10,000- 20,000 on their structure is level 24

10,000- 20,000 on my structure hits on level 27

They start 50 minute rounds on level 24 I start 50 minute levels on level 22

I strt 1 hour levels on level 26 they have no hour levels

Their structures are GREAT!!! I believe mine are very comparable. and to me a little smoother throughout the tnmt.

Thanks, Jimmy

I agree with you Jimmy.

The two levels that I believe makes your structure feel more like a 15,000 starting chip count are level 2 (50-75) and level 9 (250-500-50). Most tournaments don't have these levels.

In comparison, another local tournament starts with 20k chips, has all your levels except 2 and 9, starts at 11 AM and doesn't finish until about 1-2 AM the next day. A great structure, but can only accommodate about 200 players during this time-frame. Hopefully, your ring tournaments will draw a much bigger crowd and finish about 2 AM.

Rooms are filling up fast. If you need a room this week would be a good time to reserve one, as they will sell out closer to the event. especially on the weeekends.
thanks, Jimmy
