2012 WSOP Circuit Harrah's Atlantic City - Nov 29 -Dec 10 - Page 3 - WSOP and Tournament Circut

Is this tournament series well run? I usually only go down to Borgata for their tournament series, which are run second to none. Can anyone advise how it's been in the past?

It's no Borgata, but as far as WSOPc events go, this is a decent stop. There were a few very very bad dealers, but mostly good ones, and the floor switched out the bad dealers at the end of the tourneys so that the better ones were dealing when it was most important. The floor staff did a decent job. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

It may not be of much importance to you but since January, 2005 when Harrah's Atlantic City hosted the first ever WSOP circuit event (where I played in a couple of daily tourneys), I have observed that they haven't spent a penny to improve/upgrade the third-floor ballroom/poker tournament room.
Compared to other much more attractive rooms, I find Harrah's AC to be just generally drab. But the one thing that bothers me most (as it will nearly all middle-aged or older players) is the horrible, inadequate lighting. Depending on your table location, you may need a flashlight to see your freaking cards.

Lol yeh i remember the awful lighting last year. I was on one of these tables that had a broken light over it and we complained to the td who had us move to another table. The td's were mostly helpful/friendly altho obv theyre not going to be as proffesional as others in the business, id still say it was mostly a well-run series. Its no borgata, but its not chester either.

Totally agree with Grimerat & Jim, John A, the TD runs a nice tourney. I'll be there a bunch. But they need to do something about that lighting........ WhaDaHell........ LOL

Crossing my fingers only a few bad dealers.... I know it's hard to have all great dealers and Chris Q and the gang........

Is the NJ transit train from 30th St. Station to AC running? The nj transit website is confusing to me. Where can i find the schedule. You used to just enter in the date you wanted and it gave you that whole days trips. Anybody know?

Fwiw I've never had to show my tourney receipts at Harrahs when checking out to get the rate. Still a good idea to have them on you though.

Structure wise, I think the circuit is just as good as Borgata's normal DS event #1's. Lots of chips and plenty of time for you to play. see you all there. Borgata still my fav place to play, lol

There's a bar in the middle of the pit but what I've seen they usually have djs and stuff. There's also bills bar & burger outside the poker room and downstairs from the event center. That has a lounge across from it where they have bands playing sometimes though. Interested to see what others suggest.
