This is completely and utterly unfair.
Either switch from a .05% to a standard flat rate (say, $3 of every entry regardless of buy-in) or revamp the point system so that higher buy-ins receive their equal share of the points.

This. I would favour a flat rate. Players in bigger events will not play large numbers of small events so this is basically a prize for regular low/medium buy-in players.
The problem with not using a flat rate is that, to keep it fair, then it should be based on amount won (if the contributions are to be kept roughly proportional to chances of winning) in which case the top few places in the ME would presumably be automatic winners in the series prize.

This. The DSE is an excellent and well run series. The hassle of having to go to the Venetian to register the night before (or suffer very long queues on the day) is the biggest -ve imo. People are playing events all over Vegas and often have to make a special trip to register. If we could reg for, say, a week ahead then we can just do it at a conveniant time when we are in that area.

How hard can it be?? Every other casino manages it.
Apart from the above, well done on running such a good series in the past. I hope this year is as successful.
