There will be. The rates are not available to us yet. Poker rate right now is $129 weekday and $179 weekend to give you an idea.

Honestly, I do not know. I would hope by April. As always, I will inform everyone as soon as I know.

So the $600 Omaha 8 is limit I guess? I really think PLO8 would attract a solid field, especially at that buy-in size. I'm coming all the way from Scotland - we need more PLO8!

"high roller" event, that is probably the answer to the question. I think it may be a real stretch to see it hit 250.

150-180 would be my guess.

Good job differentiating from Caesars by raising your buyin's by about 10-15% for each level from last summer.. that should make it easier for players to decide which they should play on any given day. Tournament buyins in multiples of 100's is also an improvement. Wish there was a $400 PLO as that should get quite a lot of entrants(for PLO anyway). Will all cash games be at the Venetian or some be run at Palazzo? Overall this is a very good schedule. Are the structures going to remain identical from before for each buyin level?

Re: 2012 Venetian Deepstack Extravaganza II: May 24 - July 15

Id set An over under on the 10K at like at least 250. I mean random wpt 10Ks all over the US get more then 150. Nothing going on at wsop that stretch of days.

5K venetian main got 400 last year and it was scheduled on day two of the wsop main event. If it was mid series nothing going on at wsop it prob would of got 700

I think this 10k will be popular.

5Ks wsop get 800-900, 5k 6 max got 700. 10k 6 max got 500.

Players will be looking for a juicy 10k this year with new lower buyin wsops

Meh.

Wynn may be 20$ but u can only use one per person per meal. At the V u can save up and use them at your own discretion.

I think Tommy said they have 77 tables in the Palazzo? If so I can't imagine them running any cash games there, they'll need all of them for tournaments.

They used to host the DSE II at end of March - April. Did they cancel it for this year?

Yeah, the April DSE was cancelled. They replaced it with a bounty series, there's details floating around here somewhere.

The original plan seems to have been to cancel the DSE II due to poker room renos at the Venetian. Management seems to prefer the Palazzo location which will also hold the final 2012 DSE in November. As for 2013 and the renos who knows?
