Well, late reg is already being addressed. It looks like it will be 3pm for all events.

Sure, I'll post something in the next day or two.

I think something that would be a fair compromise for the 9 handed/10 handed discussion would be for the $400 and $600, do it after dinner. Definitely seems like a good compromise those in the smaller buyin events!

Tommy,
Can you explain what the statement above means? Does it mean if we book suites now we can reduce the room rate later once the promotional rate is released?
Thanks.

1/2% of total prizepools to be awarded to over all points leader? What was last years combined total prizepools. 1/2% is going to be a decent prize im thinking

We provide suite rates to our players during the DSE by giving a code that players can use when making their reservation. Even without that code for now, if you book a suite and it meets the qualifications set on the Venetian website, we will be able to reduce your suite rate once you have played a DSE event $400 and higher or averaged 6 hours of live cash game play per day of your stay.

Yes, 1st place will probably be somewhere around $15,000 - $18,000

That would mean you only expect 3 million in total prize pools from all events? (1/2% goes winner take all?) No wayyyy, ur 5K main and 10K highroller will be more then 3 million prize pools combined alone.
I would imagine the 10K will get 200-300 people alone
Or is my math off?
This is winner take all right? Or is it multi spots? Im getting like almost 6 million in prize pools if only 100 people sign up for every event. Which id expect numbers are going to be way higher

2010 my buddy got first in the points and it was for about 28k IIRC.
I got one of the bottom spots (7th?) and it was about 3k.

Maybe my numbers were a little off. I didnt take into account the $10,000. I was trying to just go off memory which maybe wasnt the best idea.

Is 200-300 realistic for the 10k? New territory.

i dunno, i feel like 200 easy, 300 might be a stretch. they had a random 2500 during the last DSE during the WSOP (that was obv an off day from NL at the WSOP last summer) and it drew 223 on a friday. i dunno what else was at the WSOP that weekend, so it might have been more people not wanting to miss a 1.5k or 1k on saturday at the wsop than anything. a 10k on a friday even with the 1.5k and 1k at the wsop might draw pretty decent.
the 5k main had 374, but they run satellites to that a ton and obv the main will draw better than a prelim big buyin (in general).

Re: 2012 Venetian Deepstack Extravaganza II: May 24 - July 15
With no feeder sats, I just don't see the $10k getting to 300 runners. Anyone that only has one $10k buy in to lay on the table will obv choose the WSOP main. Kind of surprised the V didn't build in some satellites for this, but being that it is labeled a
"high roller" event, that is probably the answer to the question. I think it may be a real stretch to see it hit 250.
