2012 Venetian Deepstack Extravaganza III: May 24 - July 15

Looks like some of the buyins have increased, as the tournament series remains at the Palazzo:

17.5% total withheld from a $400 so it's $330+$70, anyone think this a bit high? Other buyins it's lower % wise as they increase

No that's for the $200.

There is no space for just $400...I would assume it'd be the same as the $400 ladies though. In which case its 14% or $344+$56...a little bit higher then last year.

Tommy, How long are the blind levels? Same as previous years?

Re: 2012 Venetian Deep Stack Extravaganza I, January 26-February 21

It seems they did away with the $10 dealer bonus. If so, the total rake is lower, which is nice.

New $400 event: $344 + 34 + 20 staff + 2 points (14% total juice)
Old $350 event: $289.5 + 40 + 19 staff + 1.5 points (17.2% total juice)

I like the change to even buy-in numbers too. Looks like a good schedule, high roller and main are at logical times compared to the WSOP.

Eldon or V_TD,

Would it be possible to have PLO8 in the series? This is the second summer series in a row where there's no PLO8. Could you consider adding or swapping out the Thursday PLO with PLO8?

There was a lot of requests for it last year in the previous thread from last year (search for PLO8 and there were at least 18 results):
http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/65/mttc-live/2011-venetian-deep-stack-extravaganza-iii-may-27-july-15-a-992404/

As a point of reference, the
WSOP $1.5k PLO8 event (6/26)
WSOP $3k PLO8 event (7/3)

At the moment, there's not any PLO8 MTTs during that interim time for the PLO8 players as they get into town...

Thanks in advance for your consideration to this request.

Re: 2012 Venetian Deep Stack Extravaganza I, January 26-February 21

Tommy, now that I have looked at the detail I have a few questions.

1. The fact sheet references $600 limit hold-em but I don't see any limit in the schedule?

2. I don't see $400 NLH referenced in the fact sheet and wondered what the starting chips will be?

3. The $600 NLH events state starting chips are 12000 while the $10 addition in the old $550 brought you to 15000 chips. Has this disappeared?

Thanks Mike

There are a few obvious things that I need to fix right away. The schedule was revised and some changes on the back were not made properly.

1. There is no $600 Limit
2. I need to show the $400 NLH on the back with 12,000 starting chips.
3. All events $600 and above should have 15,000 chips.

I will get those things adjusted

$400 and $600 have 40 minute rounds

We have tried over the past year to run PLO 8. I fought hard to get them in. They just didnt draw players to the events.

Really would like to see the registration process changed. 9pm the day before for noon events just isn't early enough. Seems like this wouldn't be a big deal and could be easily changed.

$600 limit would have been fun!
