Interesting, even though I never went is this essentially what the UB Aruba Classic was?
Also I notice in the fine print for your ME that if you pay $100 staff add on you get 10k chips, so if I pay $3300 (advertised price for the ME) I get 25k starting stack and if I pay $3400 I get 35k stack.
IMO you should just make it $3300 and leave out this staff add on as I doubt many people will realize it's there.

1st and foremost, thanks for your post. After UB left Aruba, we are excited to bring poker back. It's going to be a great event at a beautiful hotel, the Westin Aruba.
We will be making a change tonight to "staff add-on" to eliminate some confusion.
Once we get the corrected change posted, I will let you know.
Thanks again.

This initial year there will not be any guarantees. However, we are expecting to draw very well as we holding satellites throughout April at the Isle Casino Racing at Pompano Park. In addition to this, we are working with a select handful of current highly ranked pros on the Global Poker Index and they will be helping to bring a strong contingent of players, as well as playing in the events.
As much as we would like to have large guarantees on the initial year, we want to make sure that the series will remain viable & strong going forward and will be offering guarantees in future years.
This event promises to be and remain cutting edge and offer what players are looking for in their tournament poker, with extremely player-friendly structures and tournament offerings.
We hope to see you there!

OnlyCardINeed, the structures have been corrected to reflect the 3% S/C instead of the chip add-on that was originally going to be in place.
Thank you for your interest and we hope to see you in Aruba.

Looks interesting but might be tough to get people out there without a guarantee, although it is Aruba so just getting out there to hang out would be +ev by itself, add in some poker and it's even more +ev. Good luck ppcaruba, def will consider dropping by.

Thanks! We love Aruba and the island is a major draw too. Plus the Westin is a great host hotel, clean, modern & fun right on Palm Beach a few doors down from the Radisson where UB hosted their annual event. Aruba Poker is back.

The dates of the satellites will be posted here in the next week. They will be on the heels of the Isle's Battle of the Beaches in March.
The satty's will be for packages of $4k or $4.5k. Thanks for you interest.

the timing of this couldnt be any more perfect right after the wpt's in hollywood and jacksonville.
i hope there's a lot of local advertising because the venezuelan fish were one of the best parts about the trip outside of everything not involving poker.

Promotion/advertising of the event in Aruba will begin in March. So, yes, we are working to attract players from the local markets as well.
