There is no leader board or best all around player award for the 12PM and 4PM events. We may look at doing one of those for future events at Beau Rivage and Gold Strike, based on cost, ROI, etc.

This should not be a problem. Call 888-245-7829 and let the agent know that you will be playing poker in the tournament. Ask to get the rate changed over to the tournament rate. If you have any issues, call me at 228-257-0647 and I will see what I can do.

FYI - Rates are $20/$45 down the road at some casinos without poker rooms.

Good luck to all my friends playing but more importantly good luck to the players that I have pieces of.

Re: 2012 Gold Strike World Poker Open - July 19 - Aug 6

Gold strike is not swiping cards during the tournament series. So this may help answering the question of those asking about logging the required time for a roomrate.

Also, still disappointed with some of the cash dealers here. One called floor on me unprompted after I bet on the river, and a lady shoved over the top for only a tiny amount more. I mucked, then the dealer informs me it was $X more. I told him I folded, and he was like well it is still $X more. Then he calls floor, telling me that I mucked not folded. LOL.

In another hand with a different dealer, a player opened, I flat, another player raises, original better shoves for less than a full bet completed action, so I call, and the raiser tries to shove. Dealer doesn't get that action is completed so I have to argue and explain it to him several times... turns what sort of hand I have face up IMO if I am forced to make it clear that I do not want to face an all in bet in that spot. Not a great job by the dealer forcing me to give away that sort of information in a very large pot.

Anyone know how many tables of cash games are going at GS right now? Horseshoe is kind of quiet, only six games going. Is everyone next door?
