That's a mistake I'm pretty sure. I just spoke with the Strike poker room and customer care and they had the poker rate unavailable for the Friday nights
but the rep spoke to the poker room at the Strike and I was able to get the rate for all nights.

Yeah... honestly I've always found it the easiest to make your reservations through the poker room not the front desk. Try giving them a call during normal working hours to get everything taken care of, and have your CC and MGM card handy.

I spoke with Customer Care and the block issue has been fixed. There is plenty of availability on all nights, so booking a room should not be an issue.

Hey Johnny, the room rate applies for both live cash and tournament hours, correct? I ask this because last month I booked the poker room rate for the Strike and the person over the phone said tournaments and cash games counted but when I actually got there, the lady running the desk at the poker room said it was cash games only. I figure you are the definitive source for this answer so I ask you.

Tournaments apply during major events only. I have no involvement with the day to day operation of the poker room. My only interaction with the property is during the major events.

pretty sure they don't keep track of hours during a series.... At least last year they didn't.

Yeah every time I have been there the card system hasn't even really been working. In the past for series there I was told that you either had to have a tournament buy-in receipt or 5 hours of cash. Neither was ever checked for me though, but I kept my receipts handy.

Anyone know how long registration is open? Looking to come in Friday night and register for the opening day B.

Also, will these sell out? How many players will they allow?

Registration is open until the end of level 3 of the event. You will be able to register for Day 1B from 3PM until 9PM on Firday July 20th. Registration will reopen on Saturday July 21st, and remain open until the end of level 3 of Day 1B.
We will have seating for 650 players each day, and probably handle around 150 alternates each day. If you register on Friday Night, you will have no problem getting in.

We will not shut anyone out. If you are in line at the end of level 3, you will be given an opportunity to be an alternate. It may be several hours into the event, but you will be able to get in.

Anyone up for a round of golf or 2 while you are in Tunica? I may be able to squeeze a day off somewhere and play. Just be prepared for 3 things: heat, humidity, and wind.
