ok..why is it halved this yr?

Paging Mike Smith.....lol....This just doesn't make sense at all...last year this event had 283 runners who created a$1.4 million prize pool easily exceeding the Million Dollar Guarantee. So a year later the Isle cuts the Guarantee in half basically saying they are worried about getting 100 players for the 5k??? Come on Mike...you run a great room and had the best value satellites for us regular folk last year that I have ever played in.. You will get 200 entrants for fun if you run the $530 satty's as well as last year and put the Guarantee back at a Million please. I would be really surprised if you didn't match last years numbers given how nice and well run your poker room is.

isle has had some overlay lately which ive heard they were pretty upset about. that probably has a lot to do with it. a lot of their mains have had poor showings lately so i think it is smart on the casino's part because i doubt this gets 200 people

Disappointed to see the guarantee halved but can see why it was done. It is in the best interest for ALL of us, players and casino, that, in the long run the guarantee on a big event like this one is met, and met easily. Hopefully it still gets ~200 ppl

Hugely depends on if the only satties ran are the 3 scheduled on 7/19. You need more satties closer to the main esp on the wkend before. I realize theres a 550 that wkend but you can run both. And don't let satty winners sell their tickets...plz learn from the PPC debacle

There are other satellites, there's a 1k last chance at minimum im pretty sure
