i'm on the fence as to which tourney to go to...foxwoods poker classic or del park's main....i looked up the foxwoods 1k and 2500 buy in....the 2500 is on the same day as del parks main.....foxwoods has all the levels there excluding the 250 500 level....the 1k has 50 min levels starting with 25k chips and the 2500 main has 40k chips 1 hr levels.....
i'm really looking fwd to seeing what the del park structure is for their main...says 40k in chips..but if they skip levels that isn't good.....
i hope it will be a similar structure to foxwoods then i'll go to del park since it's a lot closer for me...

I was also deciding between the Woods and the Park; was never thinking of playing either main, but just a couple of the smaller events and some cash, but decided on Del Park for a change of scene (only been to DP once) and the lower buy ins and hotel cost

That is good news. The structures last year were very good.

Re: 2012 Delaware Park Classic (Mar 14- Apr 2)
structure looks great. with half hour levels these should be perfect. not too long, but enough play for the buy-in amount. i'll def be trying to go down for the 26th-30th. i know it's probably been covered but what's the max on entrants for these events?

The Hilton was $99 when I booked using the link on DP's site for their special rate, they also have a AAA Del Park package that includes breakfast for two for $139,

Reason: added link, corrected hotel name (getting old)

There are a decent number of optiions. The Christiana Hilton is likely the best and the closest, about a mile away. I notice there is one new hotel not listed on the DP site, the Sheraton South Wilmington. It is right on I-95 between Wilmington and Newark, just a few easy miles from DP. The hotel was actually built several years ago but because the developers built a bigger hotel than what they were approved for the property sat unoccupied until a few months ago. Haven't stayed there but have heard it is pretty nice.

Hmmm...yeah the 2.5/5k does suck to not have. 100/200 and 100/200 25 semi negates the 75/150 lvl but yeah your right. I'll probably only play the ME and then roll over to Borgata for Spring Open.

Re: 2012 Delaware Park Classic (Mar 14- Apr 2)
The WIP (94.1) Bracket Challenge:
The tournament is modeled after the NCAA March Madness tournament.
320 players will begin the event across 32 tables, each playing as a single table tournament. The "twist" in the event is that even if you are eliminated you have a chance to "wild card" back into the tournament (explained below).
There are 6 rounds for the event
Round 1: 32 tables
Round 2: 16 tables
Round 3: 8 tables
Round 4: 4 tables
Round 5: 2 tables
Round 6: Final Table
Advancing in the tournament:
Round 1: 10 handed table - top 2 advance
Round 2: 6 handed table - top 2 advance
Round 3: 6 handed table - top 2 advance
Round 4: 6 handed table - top 3 advance
Round 5: 6 handed table - top 3 advance
Wild Card Entries
Prior to the start of rounds 2, 3, and 4: 2 names per table will be randomly selected from all players eliminated from the tournament to rejoin the event.
Example: A player eliminated in Round 1 will have the opportunity to have their name selected and play in round 2. If that players name is not selected they can still be selected for rounds 3 and 4 (skipping rounds of play).
Round 2: 64 Wild Cards
Round 3: 32 Wild Cards
Round 4: 16 Wild Cards
The Payouts
Round 1: No Payouts
Round 2: $200 to each of the 2 advancing players (2 of 6 paid)
Round 3: $300 to each of the 2 advancing players (2 of 6 paid)
Round 4: 3 advancing players paid at least $500 (3 of 6 paid)
Round 5: 3 advancing players paid at least $1,000
Round 6: Tiered payout scale 1st - $10,000 + entry in DPPC Main Event.
Bonus Round
At the conclusion of the event, as an added prize: 10 names will be selected from all participants of the WIP Bracket Challenge. Those selected will play in a single table tournament with the winner receiving Entry into the $5,000 Tournmanet of the Venetian Deep Stack Extravaganza in Las Vegas, plus air fare, hotel, and spending money ($7,500 prize package).

1. I believe rounds 2, 3, and 4 have to be 8 handed tables for the math to work out with the wild cards
2. It says on the flyer 7500 starting stack, i'm assuming the structure will be the same as you posted for all events above, How long will the levels be?
3. Can you pre register for this?
