What ties do you have to famous people?

Kevin DuBrow, former lead singer of Quiet Riot, was my third cousin.

My ex girlfriend was (I assume still is) a friend of Dave Matthews. She met him before he was famous when he first moved to Charlottesville, VA (she grew up there) and they were friends from then on. When they came through Denver while on tour he sent her two front row tickets and back stage passes and we hung out and partied with him after the show.

Also my childhood best friend's cousin was Mackey Sasser (NY Mets catcher famous for not being able to throw the ball back to the pitcher).

Et tu?

I'd lost track of his career and didn't even realize that he was inducted into the Hall of Fame last year. My mom used to carry him around when he was a baby. Thanks for inducing me to look him up.

Re: What ties do you have to famous people?

I will always love Whitey Herzog for the 80's Cardinal teams. He was one helluva manager.

Ties to famous people: my brother in California is good friends with actress Tess Harper. My brother also knows John Goodman and Kathleen Turner a little from show business stuff. Brad Pitt went to my high school and knew a lot of people I knew. And he worked a campaign phone bank for my father in the 80's. My father says he was very polite and soft-spoken and a good worker.

Can they be imaginary? Or characters from Greek mythology?

Steve Avery went to my HS and would come back and pitch to us before districts.

Dude is a tool and donated $0 to a field named after him.

My 2nd cousin is Brian Billick, ex coach of the Baltimore Ravens and current FOX NFL analyst/announcer. He really needs to get back into coaching so I can continue the free box seats at colts and bengals games.
