House

About half way through the first season, and am enjoying it, despite all the medical stuff pretty much going right over my head. Just so much fun watching House banter with everyone.

House will always be a hero and role model to misanthropes like me.

btw when he suspects it's lupus,

Spoiler:
it's never lupus.

That's a great forgotten show nobody brings up.

Not to do the rest of the cast a disservice, but If it wasn't Hugh Laurie playing House, it could easily be just another pile of meh. It really is is good example of a good lead actor elevating the series above the norm.

once again....

here's what happens in every episode of House:

NURSE: "House, why are you so mean?"

HOUSE: "[censored] you."

NURSE: "ZOMG! This poor child has a weird disease no one has ever hear of, what is it, what should we do??"

HOUSE: "I'll figure it out."

PARENTS OF SICK KID: "Thank you, thank you, thank you."

NURSE: "House, thank you so much, you're great!"

HOUSE "[censored] you."

Photographing Africa http://docuwiki.net/index.php?title=...raphing_Africa

Harry Hook is a photographer and director who has been documenting life in Africa for 40yrs. In this documentary he goes back to trace 5 Samburu women that he photographed 30yrs ago to see if they remembered him and to find out how their lives had been over the last 3 decades.

I stumbled across this doc whilst channel surfing and got totally engrossed in it. It is a beautiful, heartwarming, very interesting and sometimes sad journey that I am really pleased to have found.

This was on BBC tv so might be hard for some of you to find, but if you have an interest in photography, travel and foreign culture then it's worth looking out for.

The Last Kingdom: bbc historical drama with the second season being coproduced by Netflix. It's about the Danes invading Saxon England. All of the kingdoms fall except for Wessex hence the name of the series.

It is incredibly good. The first episode is amazing and I've been hooked since. It's based on a book series so I was expecting good writing and there's some decent actors listed so I was expecting decent acting. What really surprised me was how great the production values are. I feel like a lot of these period pieces look like they are severely lacking in budget but not here. Excellent sets, good costumes and the fight scenes are all done incredibly well.

Yep, The Last Kingdom is awesome on so many levels. I watched the first season when it originally aired on BBC America so it's been a long, eager wait for season two.

I also liked The Last Kingdom. I do prefer Vikings, though. Possibly because Ragnar is a much more captivating character than Uhtred. That said, I'm still looking forward to season 2.

And, sadly, devastating natural disasters. can't imagine how bad this must have been to witness.

It wasn't in the last episode. I think I'd be the worst cameraman ever. I'd keep interfering. Wasp trying to eat baby frogs? Swat it!

Yeah, same here. It's go to be a tough job to do emotionally sometimes.

Enjoying the 4th season of Rectify so far. They're doing a solid job of keeping the story interesting.

Really enjoyed The Night Of which takes a meticulous insight into the justice system ; the attention to detail was methodic, artful, the character development, very engaging. A must watch.

Yup. Despite the end being unrealistic, I do not think it took away from the process.
