I don't think people who weren't alive when it came out get it.

Yes, there was plenty of character developemnt, especially Worf, Data and Picard. Picard especially had to deal with the Post-traumatic issues of being part of the Borg, crystalising out quite well in the First Contact movie.

Could someone explain the love of Lost to me? Maybe it's because I'm watching Lost and The Wire at the same time (watching Lost when I exercise, The Wire with my wife), but while I find Lost enjoyable, The Wire is just far superior IMO.

Interesting addition. I really liked this show, and wish it had continued. They obviously never got where they wanted to go.
