That's terrible. I've never heard of that one before. If they didn't tell you that they did that, they committed fraud IMO.

my boxer Sam, 5 yrs old

Family dog called Snuffel, he's turning 18 this year, I've known him all my life, doesn't look like he's falling to the ground anytime soon, he's still very active for his age, he's a "maltipoo" (maltezer + poodle crossbreed

Re: Talk About Your Dog(s)/Cat(s)

My little black dog had surgery on her leg Tuesday. Everything went well. She has to take it easy for awhile, no running or jumping, but soon enough she will be back to her old energetic self.

This is the 2nd time we have had to do this but now that both are repaired she shouldn't, hopefully, have this problem ever again.

Torn ACL. It happened to her other knee about a year ago and then a couple of weeks ago to this one. When we took her to the very she wasn't suprised and said that it is very common, about 90%, for a dog to blow out the 2nd knee within a year of the first going. the good news is the repaired knee is better than the original.

Ah ... well, glad it went well. We've had dozens of dogs and never had this happen to any of them, luckily.

I had never even heard of this before either and my family has always had dogs. The vet said that while it is not "common" it is also not terribly unusual. She has done a lot of them.

Yeah I've always thought abyssinians were cool, but I've read too much about their being hyper and running around knocking things off shelves to want to handle one. I like a more mellow cat.

Awesome that cat looks like a freakin' mountain lion!

I'm way more of a dog person but dont have one
Ideal dog for me would be:

Huskey
Welsh corgi
or a Beagle

Gorgeous, gorgeous cat! My parent's cat's name is Sebastian too - must be a common cat name. I wanted to ask you what brand and model of camera you used to take those last two shots. They are beautifully crisp and clear.

I named him after "J.F. Sebastian". My own little private homage. I doubt your parents did the same.

I noticed the quality difference too. First pic is my 2yr old 6mp Canon. The last 2 are from my original digital, a 2mp Kodak purchased in 2000. Can you believe that?

Re: Talk About Your Dog(s)/Cat(s)

Is this when you're home or not? If not home, how is he being kept? Indoors/out, one room/run of the house, etc? My basic idea is that while there are some dogs who just love to bark, a lot of times it is excess energy and being in very dull surroundings that prompt it. For the excess energy, take him for a brisk walk and a game of fetch every day religiously. For the dull surroundings, give him the run of the place rather than locking him in a small room, for instance, and some favorite toys. If he can see and smell more stuff to get excited and bar about outdoors, keep him indoors. But if he gets frustrated indoors, let him roam the yard. So it depends on the dog and the circumstances.

If, on the other hand, you're trying to keep a dog in an apartment, every problem gets harder to solve.

Now if only people would start putting those on their children before letting them out of the house.
