She's also probably one of the last boxer without a tail, I think shortly after we got her it became illegal, I've seen quite a few with a tail now and I don't really like it as much.

I don't know why but I just love these picture of Snuffle and Sam. They make a cute pair

I'm with you on the tail thing. I've never seen a boxer with a tail but I don't think I would like it.

Ernie would be the type of dog I'd get if I ever got one again. An awesome mix of breeds.

Here's my cat 'Chip'. I call him Chip the Cat. Chip is 15 years old and I got him from a relatives farm in Illinois. He's extremely intelligent. He doesn't use a litter box and will just meow at you to let him outside. One oddity about him is that he loves to watch James Bond movies. He will sit and watch an entire Bond flick and then leave when the movie is over.
He's quite a badass, he is declawed but still hunts critters and leaves them on the front porch. The other day he got into a fight with another cat in the front yard. The skirmish drifted away from our residence and I was concerned about him. Ten minutes later he was strutting with a very confident gait toward the door.

Unlike a lot of other cats I've met, Chip isn't shy and loves meeting new people. He's really a kind hearted soul who just wants to be liked. He's getting up there in age but I think he's going to be around for a while. I can't really imagine him not being around. That'll be a sad day.

mrscrashjr has given the go ahead to get a puppy. Suggestions for a breed? My dad breeds German Shepherds but I'm not really keen to them. I want an active dog that will sit on my kayak, play well with my kids ages 2 and 5, not shed everywhere, not bark all f'ing day and night, and be a social member of the family.

Also, I'm not terribly interested in a pound puppy because I've seen that turn out badly. Willing to pay a breeder for papered pups.

Thanks!

My cat would have laughed at a Bond film. She preferred the work of Kurosawa and Antonioni.

Retrievers just stay the most awesome breed.

We had a Flatcoat once, sadly passed away 4 years ago. But he surely was awesome.

Both your dogs are cute, but I must say I'm very happy to hear that Snuffle is 18 years old! My dog will be turning 10 soon, so I wanted to ask you what your secrets are, and what tips/advice you could share about extending the life of a beloved dog. Thanks in advance!

Corgis are great dogs and I don't think I've seen one mentioned itt. Energetic, loyal, intelligent and mischevious. I grew up with one for twelve years. The only downside was that he had a number of health issues but that probably had more to do with our dogs situation than anything with the breed.

Cute, but too small and too prone to barking.

Anyone have any experience or thoughts about a Vizsla?

Pretty sure Ruxin thinks the couch is actually his, and he just lets us sit on it sometimes
