Yes, even guys with little dogs who dress them in pink sweaters. There is something so attractive about a guy who is confident enough to cuddle a teeny dog in public imo. At this point I am not looking to date them either though.

If a guy doesn't like animals there is zero chance I would be attracted to him. If my pets didn't like a guy, same thing. I know that sounds strange but my pets are/were all very friendly, so if they didn't like someone I immediately didn't trust him.

I also broke up with a guy I actually liked quite a bit because he yelled at my dog. He did it once, I told him not to do it and then he did it again. When I told him I never wanted to see him again, he didn't believe it. He kept calling for about a month or so until he finally realized I was serious.

To me pets>guys. I know this is not the norm though.

My last Dog was a Pharaoh Hound... Similar look, though the Pharaoh Hound is an Ancient Breed from the middle east.

wow, 3.5 years since i posted this. i haven't been in here in a while.

i moved to vegas with my pal loki and my gf and her cat augie. we never all lived together so we had no idea how it would go. here are some pics from the trip out to vegas (the 3 of us drove, the cat would come later):

http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e1...pscda64cuv.jpg

here he is about to eat steak and eggs from denny's in a hotel in kansas city:

http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e1...psqvrwetnu.jpg

when augie finally came out, there were a lot of standoffs, hissing, etc. pretty much all one way, as loki gets along with everyone and everything.

http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e1...psuanxdfc1.jpg

but i was pleased with the eventual progress. probably took a good couple months.

loki died in april. last december he was acting a little strangely so i took him to the vet and it turns out he very likely had hemangiosarcoma. prognosis was not good but the vet didn't know if he would live a month, 6 months, or anywhere in between. we talked about options, surgery, etc. but it seemed like the best thing to do was just focus on quality of life and make sure he didn't suffer. i got some meds to help with some stuff and he ended up living another 4 months, and quality months too. there was a dropoff in energy but he was for the most part his old playful happy self. of course sometimes he'd just have a bad day where he did almost nothing, moped around, and it really sucked. those days were rare at first, but became more frequent near the end. in late april i knew it was time.

that was probably the hardest decision i've ever had to make in my life, which maybe tells you something about how easy my life has been, but whatever. it sucked. i didn't want to leave that room for the longest time. he was my first and only dog, and my best buddy. i miss him a lot, still. i'm not sure why i checked out the lounge today, but i did and saw this thread, and figured i would post some stuff.

miss you buddy

Re: Talk About Your Dog(s)/Cat(s)

so refreshing to see your focus during the last few months was on what was best for him and not what was easiest for you (although we all know what's best for the mutt is what's best for the human). the decision is never easy, but that's one of the things we sign up for when we let them take us into their lives.

RIP Loki...may all your toys be squeaky and all your pillows be soft.

Bump for this old thread of pet pictures, cause I just saw a new oot thread along these lines. I never did get another cat after mine died back in 2010, and as of now I don't really have plans to.

Would be cool if people would update with some new pics. I still remember a lot of these, like Katy's dog and also Stache the Cat with the Hitler mustache. And even Blarg's dogs, if you're out there and feel like it.
