That's terrible, HiC4rd. How did your beautiful puppy get a blood infection? I'm glad he's doing better. It sounds really scary.

Thac - Beautiful dog you have there .

Thanks guys, def not anything to do with me being a photographer.

Thankfully parvo tests proved negative and that was the first thing we got checked. Having 12 plus hrs to scour the internet is def not recommended as everything seems to end in death as well. Living on a small island without a proper vet is not recommended if you want to live to a decent age.

Last April I left a post about old Fennimore, our 20+ year old cat who passed. I still miss him every day.

Today, our 15 year old Ramsey cat had to be put down. He started wheezing a couple of days ago, and was found to have a tumor on his larynx. Given a choice between a huge surgery, followed by a tracheostomy and a couple of weeks of misery or peace, I had him put to sleep.

He was a great cat - busy and loving. Greeted me every night when I'd come home from a ****ty shift at 2am and hop in my lap. Watched football with me every fall and winter. And was an ornament to every occasion.

I miss him already, and he's been gone an hour.

See you in the next life, friend.

My 4 year old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. They are probably most known as "that dog from Sex and the City" FML. Anyway, Maggie is probably the best dog you could ask for. She sleeps when you wanna sleep, goes out and plays when you wanna play etc. She is the second King Charles I've had and I'm not sure I would ever get a different kind of dog Not to mention, anytime I take her to the dog park every freaking girl is like "omg I love her"

She loves goldfish, just waiting for me to tell her its ok to eat em'

She likes sleeping on my Chucks for some reason

Her and her BFF that passed away a couple years ago

She's cute! And she sounds like a great dog. I've never seen one before. She looks very small for a spaniel. How much does she weigh?

CKCs are actually the larger version. Their cousin the english toy spaniel (or just king charles spaniel with no cavilier) are about half the size. Papillions are technically spaniels too.

IIRC Pdonk from cardrunners has a couple of these guys too. very sweet dogs.

She is purebred just happens to be much smaller than the average CKC. She weighs about 25 lbs right now. Most of those pics are from when I just got her. I keep her well trimmed though. Some people like the big floppy ears but I just don't think they look all that great.

Oscar knows when I'm leaving because I put my shoes on without telling him I'm gonna take him potty so he tends to hide where he thinks I can't see him. But he can't help peeking out so he knows what I'm up to. This is his downfall.

He doesn't mind his kennel but still doesn't want to get in it when he knows I'm leaving so I usually have to pick him up and bring him over in front of it and he makes a futile grab at me when I'm carrying him.

This is Cooper my 7 month old Golden Retriever....He was one of 8 boys from his litter. He is very social with both other animals and people...but not the brightest animal, I love him to death...

As you can see in the pic he has been getting some swimming lessons..notice he left the tennis ball I threw to him out in the lake...swimming he is getting better at...retrieving...not so much

So back home in Melbourne, we have 3 dogs. I shall now introduce you to them.

This is Phoebe. She's now 12 years old, and is a Maltese Shih-Tzu. She is ridiculously snobby, and has extremely delicate tastes. She won't come to you when called, unless she wants a pat. If you change her food, she will know and turn her nose up at it and look at you with derision. She is now deaf too. Poor thing.

This is Basil. The man of the family. He is now 7 years old, and is enormously fat. He's a Cavalier King Charles. We were wondering why the hell he was getting so fat and we found out it was because he would sneakily eat the other dogs' food when we weren't watching, so now we have to feed him in a separate room. He's ok with that. He is really loving, and loves to stand on your chest and lick your face. This wasn't a problem until he got fat, and now it feels like he's crushing your chest.

This is Coco. She is now about a year old, and a bit bigger than this photo. But it's too darn cute to not use it. She is a Spoodle (cocker spaniel x poodle). She is a complete mental case and is extremely active. She also loves anyone and everyone that comes within 100 miles of her, and will immediately accost them with jumping and licking. For some reason she likes to try to lick peoples' eyes. Gross.

Sigh. I miss them

Way too few pet pics, come on people!

Alfie likes the more feminine side of things it seems. firstly his new favourite toy. his pink ugly

and fighting over the "Chewy Vuitton" handbag with his sister
