They upped their offer to exceed my then current salary obv. I was just being aggressive. I had nothing to lose except delaying being reunited with Mrs. fakeB. But it turned out the company was actually desperate to hire me to replace someone who'd bailed on them without notice, so knowing the full info, I probably should have asked for even more $$$.
