Thank you for reminding us why the Oxford comma is essential.

Drinking beer in the ocean sounds kind of fun though.

Drinking beer and pissing is lots of fun no matter where you are.

One of my coworkers has a film degree and he hates The Godfather.

The Godfather insists on itself.

You are welcome. It will remain my only contribution for the betterment of humanity, English grammar, and those nitpickers at Oxford. Too many commas leave nothing for the imagination of the reader. It is also dull, and annoying. Emerson used commas like a plague of locust. Every once in awhile he would toss out a period, just to see if you where paying attention. Most had given up by that time. So punctuation is important. But not as important as drinking beer, or pissing in the ocean. And those two things can be done in any order or mixed and matched as necessary, or unnecessary.

I'm twenty years younger than him, if that means anything. I heard from a song bird that he wrote some interesting novels. I have not read a single line of his work. Of course, I can say the same thing about some million other authors presently living and about sixty million dead ones. And that does mean something.

I wouldn't expect you to admit it

I'm also anti-comma these days. I just listen to it in my head and will only put a comma where I hear a pause.
