Spring to Life, Y'All (LC) Spring to Life, Y'All (LC)

Pormo is on 1st-5th of May. Free download. I'll post a link then (if JC and Wook don't mind - I'll post it here and in the book thread)

If any of you guys want to read it before, pm me, I'll send you a copy free. It's not a long book. It's a nonfiction about the TV series and movies of Quatermass (if you don't know who that is, you probably won't like it)

Someone explain why there is a thread by Mat in OOT titled "And now the end is near". What does this mean??

Saw Timothy Spall in The Caretaker by Harold Pinter at the Old Vic this afternoon. Each very good, but the play won.

Front row of the Dress Circle. Might as well else live in a cave, IMO.

Only the end of 2+2 website, not the world. So nothing to worry about.

Hee's just bored. I think he misses me and you in the mod forum. I bet it's really boring these days.

Well, this is definitely not reportable spam, and anyone who reports it is a very naughty person.

My first book is now available on Kindle, and it's on free promotion until 5th May. You can download it and keep it forever.

It's a non-fiction work about the TV shows, movies and radio series of Quatermass, a British scifi hero that started in the 1950s, and was a precursor to Doctor Who.

If you like it, I'd be grateful for a good review.

You and me both, mister.

R*R, I've been worrying about this site since 2005 I don't know why it got under my skin. I used to watch the numbers all the time. I used to love it when we had many different threads going in the lounge. Maybe we never did, not sure. I think we did. Perhaps it was all a figment of my imagination?

Haha, that brought back memories, db. I can remember a couple times where I watched you in the mod forum sparring with some real jerks. I'm sure Mat was sitting at his computer with his head in his hands reaching for some scotch. Oh my god you have me sitting here laughing at the memory right now. You were really irritating to some of them. Lol. I don't know what their problem was exactly. That was one uptight crew.

I know nothing about Quatermass, but I will wait until it costs something so I can buy your book, DB.

I'd rather have the coin in a review (if you like it), but either way is gracious.

Thanks Dom

The Old Vic is all pale lime green, cream, pink and crimson. The stage design, which was that of a bedsit (I'm not sure how that word translates into American, but I lived in numerous such places in my twenties), was also these colours, but in a subtle, grimy way. It was clever.

Nearby is Leake St. I teach a student who is heavily into graffiti, and he says that paintings last for about 24 hours before being painted over.

Be careful asking for Amazon reviews. Amazon tends to be arbitrary on how they enforce their rules. just saying.

Spurs apparently weren't all that this season, c'est la vie as some the foreigners say.

I do hate to see Duncan and Manu going out like that though.

The Thunder are their kryptonite. The Spurs were amazing this season, the Thunder were just too good this series.

Coming up on a pretty crazy session of travel. First, Vegas and the Grand Canyon for a long Memorial Day weekend (tentative plans with Dom). Second, the Netherlands, half work (Thanks, woman in my company who went to bat for me to get me to go to this conference. It also helps that I've been good enough on Twitter to be practically a de facto member of the marketing department). MrsWookie is tagging along for this one, we're extending the trip a few days, and we also get a long layover in Dublin on the way there to do a bit of exploring in a second country. And to round out June, I'll have a second conference in Boston, and a business trip to a remote part of Utah. Yeah, it doesn't end on a high note.

Thunder beat mighty GS tonight, Spurs looking transitively better!

I'm kinda discovering Bob Dylan's son about 20 years late in this Bringing Down the Horse album. These songs are ****ing excellent. One Headlight and 6th Avenue Heartache are up there with the very best pop/rock songs. I'm surprised he isn't a bigger star.
05-17-2016 , 11:10 AM
You really are 20 years late on that one

Whatever happened to Jakob Dylan anyway?
05-17-2016 , 12:07 PM
Katy, I think I read on Wiki that the Wallflowers are still around in some form. Probably just less attention lately with no recent hits.
05-17-2016 , 01:25 PM
Kioshk...you should check out this new band called Nirvana. not bad.
05-17-2016 , 01:40 PM
The Wallflowers are pretty endless on the radio at work. I eventually asked a co-worker if any new music besides Justin Bieber has came out in the past 20 years.

Not a fan of The Wallflowers, but 6th Avenue was an addiction at that time.

Jakub was murdered by BSpringsteen while singing 'One Headlight' during the 1996 VMAs. The body was never found.
