I hate long weekends.
05-30-2016 , 01:40 PM
It's better than being at work.

Saw The Who last night. It was beyond awesome.

Eminence Front GOAT Who song.

The Monkees are back (and getting great reviews). Good Times for this summer.

Life for me is one long perpetual weekend. Good times through an endless summer.

And the Monkees are back - I feel like 16 again.

Seeing The Who would definitely be awesome. Who opened for them? (accidental pun?)

Zeno, I think The Monkees was my favorite TV show when I was a small sprout. Sadly, brutal memories are attached to that band now.

It makes it hard to feel too old when The Who and The Monkees are still out there shaking things up. I remember a friend of mine being real excited about 25 years ago when he scored tickets for The Who Farewell Tour. I guess that was premature

So sorry, but no 50% rule for rock bands.

No, he was correct.
Final nail for The Who was sunk in a LV hotel room in 2002.

No one opened for them...they came on stage and immediately launched into "Who Are You." Can you imagine having a catalog that deep where you get to open with that song?

LOL it was still awesome. While Moon and Entwistle are obviously sorely missed, Nino Paladino and Zach Starkey are hardly scrubs. What are they supossed to do, stop because you don't think they're the same band?

I promised myself after Bowie and Frey died earlier this year, that if I had a chance to see a seminal act from my youth before it's tool late, I would not pass it up. And I'm glad I didn't.

Just met up with Mr. Wookie and his lovely wife, Mrs. Wookie. We had BBQ before they hit the road back to the Bay Area. It was cool finally meeting him after all these years.

The Who!

Daltrey is like a crossbreed between an angel and a devil. Them lungs.

Many people do. But it has never bothered me.

All the seminal acts from my youth are dead already. That's not right, is it?

Good to put some faces to posts, and we got some good advice for a subsequent visit. Rollin' Smoke is legit bbq, too.

I am really feeling left out on this meeting Dom business...
05-31-2016 , 03:26 PM
Just come to Vegas! I think the chances are good that we would have a good time.

Yeah, you two would probably never leave his room.
