Re: Pulp Fiction

A lot o' people don't realize what's really going on. They view life as a bunch o' unconnected incidents 'n things. They don't realize that there's this, like, lattice o' coincidence that lays on top o' everything.

Give you an example; show you what I mean: suppose you're thinkin' about a plate o' shrimp. Suddenly someone'll say, like, plate, or shrimp, or plate o' shrimp out of the blue, no explanation. No point in lookin' for one, either. It's all part of a cosmic unconciousness.

Re: Pulp Fiction

I saw PulpFiction in the theatre almost 18years ago...time is flying...and i guess i am somwhat a slow pony, but what still fascinates me about this movie that it is deep in some kind of way, e.g.:

-when vince is saying "would you give me a foot massage" and jules gets angry because of that (because this request is kind of gay), vince is winning the discussion; cause jules is saying a footmassage means nothing, but it can't mean nothing if he wouldnt give a man a footmassage.
first i always thought it was only a joke- but its a joke grounded in their discussion

-when jules is saying: how does marsellus wallace look. dont say what etc. he is saying "does he look like a bitch?" cause you tried to fuxx him like a bitch. and marsellus wallace doesnt want to get fuxx like a bitch, expect from mrs wallace; this whole speech is kind of linked to the rape of marsellus wallace, and really, marsellus doesnt want to get fuxxed

Not only is Marsellus Wallace getting ****ed linked to that scene, but it's also linked to the reason why Butch couldn't bring himself to leave that pawn shop without saving him.

Butch's father was held captive with something uncomfortable up his ass until he died, which is the same fate Marsellus Wallace was about to be dealt. Butch's father died a death Butch wouldn't wish on his worst enemy, and Butch proves it by doubling back to rescue Marsellus Wallace.

The movie is just too perfect in so many ways, it makes me think a lot of it had to be accidental, like divine intervention.

As for what's in the briefcase, I would guess the bottom was lined with gold foil and the top had a battery-powered lightbulb attached to it.

thats a nice theory, but i always thought the band neck is there to make it easier to recognize him right before butch is hitting him with his car.
cause you only see him in the first scene from behind.
