Meredith Vickers is almost certainly a human. Otherwise why would she care to have a personal robot surgeon pod in her quarters along with a special section of the ship with its own atmosphere.

Love the discussion in this thread so far and I`m a little sad that Prometheus isn't a massive box office hit. Do you guys think there will be another movie?

Another question I have is why those bio cannisters activated in that chamber when they entered?

I really hope to see another movie in this world Prometheus world to answer why the Engineers wanted to kill us and to see the evolution of the Weyland Corp from being a seemingly good company wanted to advance human civilization forward to the one we see in the other Alien's where they are only interested in using the Aliens as a bio-weapon.

I'm back to being confused whether Vickers is a bot or not. That surgery pod and special quarters could have been for Mr. Weyland. Buuuut it seems to me Mr. Weyland's cryo pod was housed in a different part of the ship, why? It also seemed to me that Vickers knew about Mr. Weyland being on the ship after seeing that scene between herself and David where she forced him to tell her what he said.

Despite evidence to the contrary, I'm going to make a prediction that Vickers *is* a bot (but may not know it) and somehow survived the crushing, sneaking onto the ship with Shaw and David, setting up for an epic sequel.

Here is my retarded review of the movie, complete with plot holes galore!

PAINTINGS...paintings of guys in caves pointing to stars. all over the place. LETS GO SOMEHWERE 2 YEARS AWAY GUYS, THEY MUST HAVE CREATED US OMG.

SURE, we have robots who act like humans, which are incapable of fear or emotion and are geniuses who are far superior to us. But screw sending them on the two year trip to wherever on a hunch, we are sending real human people and LOTS OF THEM.

It sure would be nice if we had these red ball probes that mapped out the entire cave and had video cameras on them. Or even better if we had geniusbots who acted just like us so we could send them instead so we don't have to die. Oh well, maybe one day, INTO THE CAVE!

Vickers and the captain had a conversation about whether she was a android or not. She then replied to him, come to my room in ten minutes? Confirming she had sex with the captain, which is why no one was on the bridge when those two idiots got killed in the ritual room.

David makes a reference to why he wears a helmet as attempting to appear more human. This could be why Vickers goes in the sleep capsule (only one android is needed to watch the crew) and why she wakes up on her own and has apparently no ill effects from the sleep capsule.

With regards to sleeping with the captain, theres no reason why an android wouldn't be capable of having sex (it's never mentioned), and she seems to do so in order to convince the captain that she is not an android.

Also, there are other subtle clues that she may be an android. Calling Weyland "father", being referenced as "mom/mum" by David, the surgical unit being configured for a man, etc, etc.

All in all, I could see it being played as Vickers being an Android who isn't fully aware that she is an android.

The sleep capsule bit was the most supportive evidence that Vickers was a bot. She never is seen drinking anything or eating any food, she has no physical effects from the sleep capsules, and immediately comes out doing exercises (she was smoking in that scene btw).

I am also certain that the captain had sex with vickers, just to prove that she wasn't an android. Scientific mission and all.

Also, it's pretty ****ing stupid that that the ultra-rare and ultra-expensive badass surgical pod can't handle both genders. It's almost as if a lazy screenwriter wanted to drop some hints but couldn't think of a way to do it logically.

Yeah, after reading a few of the recent posts + that reddit thread I've gone 180 and now think Vickers was a bot. That capsule/push ups scene was the clincher.
