I watched Kaleidoscope and thought it was fine. As the other poster said there's only one poker scene in it at the end. Nothing spectacular but sufficiently entertaining.
I found The Music of Chance painful to watch. I've seen other people praise Spader and Patinkin's acting, the cinematography, the metaphors for life yada yada yada but all I saw was a couple of greedy punks who got what they deserved.
Halfway into California Split as I type this. I need to watch more movies from the early 70s - the style and the mannerisms are truly unique and interesting. I'll post more when I have a chance to finish it.
