Re: PODCASTS: Here are mine, what do you recommend?
Just listened to the first podcast of Jim Jeffefies. (Aussie stand-up, by way of England)
It was sort of meh, but Jefferies has 2 fantastic stand-up specials, so I have high hopes.

Re: PODCASTS: Here are mine, what do you recommend?
I strongly urge people who want a comedy podcast to listen to, to check out Uhh Yeah Dude. They do 1 a week and have since early 2006. It's the best.

Weirdly, I've never listened to this but I have been to a live taping at UCB. It was reasonably fun but not something I'm going out of my way to do again.

What? This podcast is the best podcast IMO. Keep with it... The episode the one where they get Jason drunk, and the other where they have the guy who directs porn and bangs the tranny are the two funniest podcasts I've ever heard.
Others I listen to
Fitzdog Radio-I find Greg Fitzsimmons to be pretty meh but he gets great guests on there most of the time.
Skalbro Country-Def have to get use to these guys if you haven't seen cheap seats but they are so overly annoying they are hilarious.
Joe Rogan Experience-Pretty awesome stoner talk and guests.
MMA Hour with Ariel Helwani-Hands down the best interview in MMA.
Monday Morning Podcast with Bill Burr-I've listen to every podcast this guy has over done over the past few years he goes on the greatest rants of all time and talks a ton of sports.
Those are the ones I listen to every week I occasionally listen to Behind the Bets with Chad Millman, BS Report, No Agenda, Lavender Hour with Duncan Tressel.

Re: PODCASTS: Here are mine, what do you recommend?
Bumping this thread...I love podcasts because it makes being an office drone bearable. I hope to pull some recs out of here...below are my regular rotation. They are almost all comedy.
This American Life - not much needs to be said about this one...
Loveline - I love listening to 1998-2005 Loveline when Adam Carolla hosted. Go to www.lovelinetapes.com...it is a great website and has a million episodes. Check out episodes with David Allen Grier, Will Arnet, Tom Arnold, Patton Oswalt, and Clive Barker...they are great guests.
Howard Stern - Also not a podcast, but it is if you .torrent it. He's never been better...
The Best Show - Tom Scharpling hosted radio show with the drummer from Superchunk. They get good guests...archive available here:
http://www.wfmu.org/playlists/BS
Judge John Hodgeman - The PC guy hosts a podcast where he mediates other's disputes. People Skype in and present their case to the judge.
http://www.maximumfun.org/shows/judge-john-hodgman
Pod F Tompkast - Paul F Tompkin's podcast. features his ramblings > set piece with all his characters getting together for a movie (my favorite character is john c reilly) > set from his live show > phone call with jen kirkman > ramblings. Super great
http://pft.libsyn.com/
Doug Loves Movies - Funny show with comedians discussing movies. Gets good guests. They play a game at the end that I usually skip as it gets tedious...
http://douglovesmovies.com/
Earwolf.com shows:
Comedy Bang Bang (Formerly Comedy Death Ray). The show usually features an interview with a comedy guest, then a few bits or interviews with characters, then silly games, then plugs!
Sklarbro Country - Sports, indie rock, comedy, AND TWINS. They usually go over sports stories, then have a comedy guest, then have a character. There was one where the character was Gary Busey and kept spelling out acronyms...I was crying laughing.
Who Charted - A countdown show where they explore the charts...but with comedy.
Also, the AV Club has started a weekly podcast roundup which is a good resource:

Re: PODCASTS: Here are mine, what do you recommend?
Bumping because it's been a while, and also to highly recommend WTF w/ Marc Maron if you at all like stand up comedy, and probably even if you don't. He only has so many episodes available for free (I think it's the last 50 maybe?), but it's $5 for six months of archives (which can be downloaded). He's really good at getting people to open up, so the interviews are pretty unique and interesting.

Re: PODCASTS: Here are mine, what do you recommend?
I can add two that I didn't listen to last time I posted. Pretty basketball specific, both through the Grantland Network
The Jalen Rose Podcast - Jalen and Dave Jacoby talking about basketball, sports and life. Occasionally, Jalen tells a story from his days in the league and they are always awesome like the time he stole Patrick Ewing's TV or the fight during a NBAPA meeting during the last lockout.
The Basketball Jones - Four guys from Toronto and one from Austalia talk about basketball and do stupid games making up songs about players using pop-music songs, making puns out of player names, and other stuff like that.
Each come out weekly, Jalen on Monday and TBJ on Friday.
Jalen Rose podcast is legitimately my favorite media that I consume each week, whether it be tv/movie/podcast/newspaper/book/whatever. I love it so much and look forward to it all week. Of course it helps that I've loved Jalen since I was 9 and thought The Fab Five was a real-life group of super heroes. TBF Jalen does say some absolutely retarded **** at times, but it's good for the lulz:
Jalen: Underneath the definition of team in the dictionary, they should just have a picture of Tim Duncan with his arms crossed.
Jacoby: Um... I'm pretty sure a picture of an actual team would be better there then a picture of one guy.

The CBC do a number of really great shows, most of which are online.
In addition to Wiretap:
http://www.cbc.ca/ageofpersuasion/ - Age of Persuation - About marketing (way more interesting that it sounds. Used to be at http://www.cbc.ca/undertheinfluence/).
http://www.cbc.ca/quirks/ - Quirks & Quarhs - Various science related topics.
http://www.cbc.ca/whitecoat/ - White Coat, Black Art - Medical one.
http://www.cbc.ca/thedebaters/ - The Debaters. Two comedians take opposing sides in a debate. Can be mediocre sometimes, but usually decent.
Any time I'm painting a room or whatever I'm usually listening to one of these.
