Does anybody know film (40s-60s most likely) with an action sequence featuring a man fighting a creature in a temple sorta place and he can't look into it's eyes or he gets blinded, so kills it by using his shield as a mirror?

In his defense, I seem to remember Clash of the Titans looking very much like a 1950s epic type movie.

OP said 40s-60s most likely. "Most likely" leaves room for "but not necessarily". According to the IMDB link by AwesomeO (through apparently mad Google skillz), The Adventures of Hercules and Clash of the Titans are the only 2 depictions of Perseus v. Medusa. If that is true then OP has enough information to answer the question and the Lounge has solved the problem.

Was Clash of the Titans (1981), I was just way off with the year. Perseus and Medusa looks not bad, I'll give that a go too.
