Very cool, haven't seen a video of Stevie looking that young in a long time. That may be my favorite song of his.

I've had a hard time finding Ray Charles singing my favorite of Joe Raposo's Sesame Street songs, "It's Not Easy Being Green." He can really tear that song up, it's so cool when he does it. Your post reminded me to search for it on Youtube, and I found a good version. Wish I could get an MP3 of it though.

Here's one for you. Check this one out.

Doobie Brothers

I love the look!
Yeah, that's one of my favorite Doobie Brother songs.

The guitar player in the Steely Dan clip is awesome too.

LOL I love Johnny's music, but he makes the strangest faces when he performs. He looks like he's trying to take that second poop for the day

Re: Music: What are you listening to today?

I am listening to the Def Leppard album Slang. The album marked an all too short-lived departure from their pop rock roots, veering instead to an experimental side they have never repeated. Unfortunately the album was a commercial flop, convincing them and their label to repeat the tried and true formula of pop rock. The songs on Slang are the strongest they ever produced, and for a band that admits they mostly write lyrics for their sound and don't care if they make sense, they broke tradition on this album with songs such as:

Truth

Blood Runs Cold

Gift of Flesh (which did enjoy a small amount of success on mainstream radio)

Where Does Love Go When It Dies?

Even the title track, Slang, the weakest of the bunch by far, is classic Def Leppard for a new generation. I have enjoyed a lot of what they have put out since, particularly what came on the album X, but I think it's unfortunate the public did not embrace and encourage Def Leppard to pursue more music like what you'll find on Slang.

I never used to listen to Abba until Diebitter turned me onto Mama Mia. I now have a few Abba songs that I listen to in my car. I find it's one of the best tricks to help me stay positive when I'm slipping into a very negative mood, which is happening more and more since starting my nursing classes. Funny thing is that whenever I listen to Abba I picture Diebitter driving down the road singing along. Now I will picture Kioshk and diebitter singing along!
I'm a terrible singer and wise enough to know it, but I do often sing out loud to songs when driving alone. Was singing 'Can't smile without you' alongside Barry Manilow yesterday on the way to the tip (garage clearing), if that helps you picture what I do at the weekend.

Picturing you listening to Barry Manilow is cracking me up.

What is a garage clearing (tip?)? I need a British translator.

I'm listening to the French lady, Edith Piaf. She's bringing the drama; I'll say that. It's interesting how she makes her voice shake like that.

I especially like the song Non, Je Ne Regrette Rien.

I've been listening to Clutch all day. I love all of their stuff but I believe Elephant riders is the most lounge friendly. Neil Fallon really knows how to paint a picture.

I Edith Piaf. Have you seen the bio-movie they did about Piaf starring Marion Cotillard called La Vie en Rose? I thought it was very good and Cotillard was amazing in it.

My favorite Piaf song is Mon Dieu.

Yes, I have seen that, enjoyed it a lot. There's something about hearing French words as they are being sung that's very appealing. And I know absolutely no French.

I first heard it by Nina Simone, and hers is great, so I looked up Jacques'. This poor guy is really laying it on the line.
