So I heard on NPR, maybe a month ago, about a band that the reporter said was two girls making music in their bedroom. I forget if they were in high school or just graduating, but the person described their songs as being about first love, crushes, and stuff like that. I've been trying to find this band and I scoured the NPR site to no avail. I think it was on a year end countdown of best new music of the year, but I don't really remember if it was new band or song or whatever. Can anyone help?

Tegan and Sarah maybe ? Can't be them, too old and not making music in their bedrooms, they have some good tunes though.

Not Tegan and Sara. Pretty sure the presenter said they were just outta HS and I remember it being more electronic than conventional instruments based. I wish I could find it; I don't remember if it was good or not, just wanna hear it since it was intriguing.

Yeah I hate it when I hear a band on the radio but don't get the chance to write down a lyric or hear who the artist was, same kinda thing. BTW what's NPR stand for ?

Cool thanks, surprised I never heard of it before, wiki'd it and it was founded in 1970, seems similar to the CBC here in Canada with a wide array of varying programs.
