Original line-up of Veruca Salt (Nina Gordon, Louise Post, Jim Shapiro, Steve Lacke) has just released an EP. Here's the first song:

The Museum of Broken Relationships

First time together since 1997!

Can't get it to imbed.

My duration's infinite, money-wise or physiology
Poetry, that's a part of me, ******edly bop
I drop the ancient manifested hip-hop, straight off the block
I reminisce on park jams, my man was shot for his sheep coat
Childhood lesson made me see him drop in my weed smoke

a trip down memory lane...

crazy to think this album is 20yrs old this year

I know there are some alt-country folks in here, which just increased my shock that there is not a single mention of Jason Isbell in this entire subforum. Southeastern is, front to back, the best album I've heard in a very, very long time.

Ran into a guy at the park over the weekend that I went to high school with. I was wearing my Ween shirt and he brought up the Live In Chicago DVD that he has seen probably 300 times. Never knew he was a fan, so it was fun to talk some Dean and Gene while chasing our kids around the park. This has been my default ringtone for a few months.

Oh God the most legendary thing ever that this universe has produced. I'm 15 years in listening to the music of John Darnielle.

You got a couple thousand songs to give a go ... the sheer output since the early 1990s is just immense.

Full Force Galesburg, Sweden, and Ghana are prb my top 3 Mountain Goat albums . . . All Hail West Texas is up there as well.

Lajon Witherspoon, in addition to looking like the last person you'd want to face in a dark alley or bar fight, is without question one of greatest vocalists in rock/metal history. And he and Clint Lowery have proven to be excellent song writers over the years. This track, taken from Sevendust's new (acoustic studio) album, has practically been on loop in my apartment for days.

If you are not familiar with Sevendust, but like this song, I'd encourage you to check out the following (in no particular order):

Live Again
Trust
Honesty
Angel's Son
X-Mas Day
Hurt (NIN/Johnny cash cover)
