Working out to "Shake it Out" Florence and the Machine, just listened to INXS "Don't Change", MGMT "Time to Pretend" and Modest Mouse "Trailer Trash".

So as you can see, I'm old. Oddly I have connections to somewhat newer rap that I listen to but I have no idea about any newer Pop-Alt music that I may like that would be in line with the music I listed above - any suggestions?

Skynyrd 30 year anniversary disk 1 has been playing in my truck for the past two weeks.

My favorites in a particular order:

I ain't the One

Call me the Breeze

Down South Jukin

Right or Wrong

the list goes on but you get the idea.

Then yesterday I got sick of listening to the same thing. So I ejected Skynyrd and put in Mad Season. My favorites on that album in a particular order:

Artificial Red

Wake up

etc.

I'm usually not much for pop music but this song stopped me in my tracks. I had no idea who was singing and it sounded just like a Prince song. I was very surprised it was her singing this.
