Ted
65/100 Decent comedy with several decent comedy scenes, and Flash Gordon

Watching I saw the devil. Saw it a while back but forgot how utterly crazy this movie gets in the first 5 minutes.

Just watched it again last night - one of my favorite lines of all time is in Midnight in Paris, when Rachel McAdams and Owen Wilson finally let it all go, and she says that she slept with Michael Sheen, and finishes with "get over it Gil". It's just so consciously absurd and perfectly delivered. What a great movie.

hey... Valentine is over.

I love "Midnight in Paris", but not the way McAdams character is drawn. It's pretty common in this sort of situation for the woman to be a one-dimensional shrew. I guess it's so everyone will feel relief when she inevitably gets dumped. But it's still kind of a copout.

Just re-watched The Piano Teacheron Netflix Instant.

It's just too good. It's not easy, and there are zero likable characters, and the message is actually fairly bleak, but it's so well put together that I love it.

Would have made a great Valentine's Day viewing with that special someone.

All of the "antagonists" are 1-dimensional, and they are so on purpose. Her father, the guy she's cheating with, her mother and her friends. Not exactly a cop out if it's intentional.

Surprising? Did so see the last one? It was pure HIV so it's only logical part 5 would be AIDS.

Anyone seen the Stoning of Soraya M? Thought about watching on NF but read reviews and not sure was ready for something quite that heavy - any reviews?

I really like this one too. Did you notice that Netflix has this listed under "Romantic" movies? WTF! (And this is the first time I've ever used WTF in over 10,000 posts.)
