From what I can tell, this should be about the last on your list.

Unless you were also considering Irreversible or Salo.

Watch The Philadelphia Story.

I don't get it :|

Is Amour not a good movie to watch with fiancees/wives?

Will check out Amelie. I haven't seen it - not sure if she has. I've already seen Irreversible and we've both seen Salo.

Schindler's List is the feel-good romantic movie for V-Day.

Cuddle up by a fire with a loved one.

Jerry Seinfeld was able to make out during Schindler's List, so if it's good enough for him...

Santa Sangre
91/100 Astounding, startling and beautiful imagery, and nuttier than the main sewer in Squirrel City

Internet friends don't let internet friends watch Jodorowski films.

(Although Santa Sangre is his least awful, even bordering on acceptable.)

I liked it, so yar boo sucks.

Fair enough, but watch The Philadelphia Story at some point, please.

Once upon a time I watched El Topo. Will not watch again.

Last night I watched something of an absurdist masterpiece...

Spoiler:
Jackass 3

Kon-Tiki. Spectacular movie-making, not to be missed. Touching and thrilling, and not just for those of us who read the book as kids years ago.

The Philadelphia Story is one of the few perfect movies ever made. On my top 5 list of best comedies.

Hmmmm...I wasn't being literal, but I'll give it a shot:

The Philadelphia Story
Tootsie
Some Like it Hot
Trouble in Paradise
This is Spinal Tap
Monty Python and Holy Grail

Apparently, I couldn't cut it down to 5!

I will never understand the great reverence for these cross-dressing comedies. Why not Mrs. Doubtfire or Wong Foo or The Crying Game?

OK, OK, I know. I just feel like there is some great stuff to replace Tootsie in particular.

Like Shakes The Clown.

If you can't see the difference between Tootsie and Mrs. Doubtfire, or Some Like it Hot and Too Wong Foo, I don't know what to tell you.

Movies for Valentine's Day that I like include:

When Harry Met Sally
Love, Actually
Run, Fatboy, Run
The Princess Bride
Heartbreaker (French version)
A Very Long Engagement
