You know there's sequels, right?

That one NWA song that played out of the fancy gun was pretty good.

Re: Movies: What have you seen lately - part 2
Been watching a few older movies lately..
Road House
Patrick Swayze plays the best bouncer in the world called into a small town to sort out the bar and the town. Pretty cheesy and funny.
Kickboxer
Jean Claude Van Damme is out to seek revenge for what happened to his brother at the hands of Tong Pau. I loved this movie when I was very young, rewatched it recently, pretty cheesy and funny, especially Van Dammes dance movies. Tong Pau is a great villain too. Apparently Sagat of Street Fighter is based on Tong Pau.
King of the Kickboxers
Pretty much the same storyline and a rip off of Kickboxer. Don´t let that put you off though, this movie is pretty awesome and unintentionally funny. Some great characters including the Jake, the rogue policeman, Kahn the villain with a great special move, Jackson (not his real name), the Interpol guy in Thailand, and Jakes trainer. Anyone who likes movies where the story and acting is so bad that the movie becomes good should watch this.

Re: Movies: What have you seen lately - part 2
Watched a lot of movies lately:
The Fire Within I actually prefer Oslo, August 31st over this one - that said, this is also pretty great. Lovely music, and I really like this story. Depressing stuff, though.
E.T. Rewatch. Still fantastic.
Close Encounters of the 3rd Kind Rewatch. Not as great, but still very enjoyable.
Dark Knight Rises Agree with most of negative reviews here. It was just pretty dull. Hathaway was hot tho.
The Thin Red Line Rewatch. Watched it first when it came out and I was too young to "get" it. This time around, I think it's quite close to perfect.
Lone Star Decent, but I'm starting to find that John Sayles movies never really do much for me.
Dancer in the Dark Björk is the only good part of this one in my opinion. Didn't work for me, at all.
Solaris Bit of a disappointment. Still, very good. And I have feeling both this one and The Mirror will grow on me on 2nd viewings.
Paris, Texas Was really good, too.
Rachel Getting Married Okay I guess, but didn't do much for me.
Videodrome Rewatch. Good stuff. James Woods is great in it.
Sherlock Jr. First Buster Keaton I watch and I have no clue about silent movies but I thought this was great.

Finally watched Blue Valentine. Pretty brutal film with some really excellent acting from Gosling & Williams. 9/10

Hope you don't mind big sweaty men with moustaches and too much testosterone. I'm fine with it myself.

Am I the only one who expected DKR to be darker? To me, it felt like pretty light faire compared to DK. Well not 'light faire' but certainly lighter.

Re: Movies: What have you seen lately - part 2
It was a mess. It was like a completely different movie and not at all a continuation of the first two. It sucked. I was disappointed, because I thought the first two were damn good fun.
