Getting ready for IP ban

Katy Perry: Part of Me is quite entertaining. Perry is an outstanding entertainer and it's interesting to get a behind the scenes look at who she is now and how she became the person she is today. It's filled with happiness, hope and a bit of heartbreak. Disclaimer I took my 11 year old niece who loved it.

Safety Not Guaranteed is freaking awesome! Starring Aubrey Plaza as an intern from a magazine investigating a potential crazy man who placed a classified ad seeking a time travel companion. It starts out as a joke and walks a fine line between "is this guy crazy" or "is this guy for real?" The journey is a fun one containing many laughs and heartfelt moments. I highly recommend it.

Princess Mononoke was great, now my favorite Miyazaki film out of the four I've watched, with a slight edge over Spirited Away, which I thought none of his other films could surpass. The animation style features one of Spirited Away's best motifs: the juxtaposition of the gorgeous and grotesque. The pacing was flawless, and it had a good balance of intense action scenes and slower tension-filled scenes, and I thought, Holy ****ing ****, quite a few times, especially towards the end. I don't normally recommend films, but this was A++.

The Shawshank Redemption: Great movie. It has been my favourite movie for many years and I somehow never get tired of watching it.

Fight Club: Edward Norton is by far my favourite actor in the whole world, I just love how he can play those psychopaths and also in this movie he harmonize perfectly with Brad Pitt. It's the first movie that i ever watched back to back because, IMO, it is a completely different movie once you watch it a second time with the knowledge, that Tyler is not real.

Good Will Hunting: While watching Oceans 11 to 13 I allways knew that I have seen Casey Affleck but I could not put him where. Now I know it again .
I like the story a lot. Will just remains Will, no matter how much they try to change him. He is this genius, that he never did wanna to be, but would use it only for his sole advantage. It is non of this frog to prince story, where hero raises from the Janitor to the President of the US.....and I appreciate that. All tough I found the end scene (It's not your fault Will.......It's not your fault Will........It's not your fault Will......) a bit cheesy, still love the movie.

Love Ed Norton, but saying he's the best actor is silly

Hulk

Scientist turns himself into giant green monster yad yad.

This got trashed by the critics and so despite reading the Hulk all through my teens and collecting all the back issues I never saw it. I'm sure the comic book guys weren't happy with some of the liberties Ang Lee took with the Hulk mythos. I noticed enough little hints in it to make me think he had at least read a lot of issues and shown it that respect. The Hulk is a difficult character to write for stupid, monosyllabic and incapable of being put in real peril and his alter ego is an emotionally stunted bore. Taking the Peter David ret con story line about Banners abusive father and making him the villain introduced some drama sadly the final confrontation was a big let down. Nolte chews up the scenery with his evil genius act sadly his speech doesn't make a lick of sense and there is no reasonable explanation for why he would be let anywhere near his son. The climactic action scenes are confusing and its just never very enjoyable, its still better then The Incredibale Hulk though.
