Decency is at the core of this movie, and it can clearly be seen in every tracking shot of Davids(Tsotsi's) face as he begins to notice Decency in the minute details of everyday life and in small acts of kindness that live out life in a nasty shanty town of south Africa.
Very good movie, I need to go back and watch it again.

It was a beautiful movie, with a great bittersweet ending.

yes... the ending was slightly ambiguous and that is a complaint by some, but there are also alternate endings on some of the disc releases.

whether he was shot, or went to jail, or praised for returning the baby... I think the story was already completed by that point as Tsotsi was redeemed and ultimately, perhaps Africa itself can be redeemed.

Side effects was quite good, though it may be because I have a crush on Rooney. Could've probably been ten minutes shorter in the middle though.

Crazy Stupid Love - It was an OK rom-com. I felt like Julianne Moore's character wasn't fleshed out enough so I never really felt like I understood why she acted the way she did. I feel like Steve Carrell added a lot more to his character than what was on the page. Never saw the twist coming so that was good.

Did anyone see that movie that was released? It was of a certain level of quality that I made a subjective judgment about. Blah blah blah pacing blah blah blah.

was there a hot chick in it?

then probably not.

Yeah. The way she was there seemingly for no other reason but to help the funny, nerdy, overweight male lead accomplish his goals struck me as a bit unfair to her, though.
