Silence Of The Lambs Is the archetypal thriller/horror combo.

Roger Ebert, I was a huge fan.

I had long-since forgiven him for his misunderstanding of Blue Velvet when I read this, and knew I was right about him all along. RIP, sir.

A must-read from Roger Ebert

Suttree is also my favorite book.

RIP Ebert. Sad day. Have been a fan for a long time now, I refer to him on almost every film i have ever had an interest in, and he's had some of the most fantastic articles I have ever read on various films and directors. no one loved a good film more than he did.

I particularly loved when he would write a review for a film he'd already reviewed long ago, sometimes decades between the reviews.

Remember in LOTR when Gandalf shouted, "Fly you fools? " That's kinda how I felt when I heard the news about Roger Ebert. I didn't always agree with his opinion but the man was a pioneer of film criticism. I always thought, "I'd love to do his job."

plot hole in sinister

Spoiler:
cop so and so is still alive to tell the story and blow it all out of the water

RIP Roger Ebert indeed, one of my favourite critics if not one of the best.

On a less sad note, I saw Trance and Wreck it Ralph recently. Trance was great, a lot of twists and turns and a few 'saw it coming' and plotholes, but it was mostly fun to watch, and I loved the Danny Boyle visuals. Wreck it Ralph was also great, loved the video game references, the plot was pretty standard Disney fare but it was a fun and funny movie-a lot of the jokes were wasted on the kids in the audience.

They are pretty sure there is going to be a second film.

thinking about watching All The Presidents Men this weekend. just watched the Sting and loved it so I figure another Redford best Picture winner is a solid move

For the amount of gore in Evil Dead it's ****ing boring. We've seen it all before. Limbs hacked off? So edgy! Blood splashing in someone's face? Never seen that before! Skip it or see on cheap night.

I mean, I may be a little biased, what with both Evil Dead and Dead Alive (mentioned earlier on this page) being the motivation for my screen name, and me having a clip from Evil Dead for my avatar for the last month, but everyone I know who saw it loved it, not just me.

Sure it wasn't really anything new, but what it did, it did really well. I was nonstop entertained, and actually frightened on numerous occassions.

Stay til the end of the credits btw.

See Evil Dead on cheap night. I seem to be in the minority. I think ppl love it because of the name brand. I think it's a piece of ****. I'll elaborate further in a bit.

Didn't love Tiny Furniture. It was like a weak episode of Girls, although it was at times funny. I wish I didn't know who Alex Karpovsky was entering the film, made it near impossible to discover his character.
