A Streetcar Named Desire Watched the 1951 version for the first time. This was oldest film I've seen Marlon Brando in, so was interesting to watch him as a young badass. The story is obviously amazing, but I was pretty shocked at how many racy things happen in this film for being made in 1951. It's also impressive that a movie can have so little scenery and still be incredibly entertaining the whole time.
Rashomon Always been one of my favorite of Kurosawa. Incredibly moving, and deals with issues way ahead of its time. Absolutely amazing throughout, never a dull moment with twists and turn that develop each character perfectly.
Django Unchained Loved the movie for the most part. Every scene was pretty amazing. I don't know how it's almost 3 hours long and there's not a wasted scene, but somehow there is. As it's still new I'll post my complaints in a spoiler, although I assume many of these complaints have already been made.
Hands on a Hard Body This is a documentary about an endurance contest where the contestants have to place their hand on a truck and the last one to remove their hand wins the truck. It takes place in a small city in Texas, in 1995 before these contests were made illegal. The contest itself lasts 77 hours, and is pretty interesting. The contest attracts some pretty interesting people (hicks) and listening to them is very funny. It's a good look at middle America and a fun film, although it can be slow at times as it's about people standing around a truck for 77 hours.
